bah his season will be over before the playoffs begin

yeah they definitely have the pressure on them now, but to tell you the truth, it was already on them before. they have made enough acquisitions now that they have the experience to make that deep playoff run and win it all. also behind vokoun and mason, they have two people who have proven this year that they can hold up in net against the top teams in the league.should be an exciting run, I'm still a little worried about them holding off detroit and winning the division...more worried detroit will make some huge run, because i think the preds can hold their own head to head against them.go preds!

^^if we can't win at home, yes

Winning the Cup is probably the only thing that will make people in Nashville take notice enough to keep the team from relocating.

unfortunately it's not the everyday people that aren't holding up with supporting the preds...it's the lack of corporate support.but I think they will find the support they need. nashville got the NFL and NHL right around the same time so naturally hockey is having more trouble getting support

I saw some statistics once on the percentage of the top 100 companies in Nashville that bought ticket plans, and it was absurd. They actually seem to be doing quite well with bringing in the average fan. If they make a deep playoff run those companies will start hopping on board.

I would love to see Nashville win it (although Canes and Eastern Conf. teams come 1st), if only to anger "true hockey fans" who hate seeing southern teams win the Cup. For instance Calgary fans might never stop drinking if it goes TB, Carolina, Nashville...goodtimes.

Haha I've been thinking the same thing
2/16/2007 3:45:28 PM
why is nashville in the "west" anyway
2/16/2007 9:27:21 PM
why is memphis in the west?

If Pittsburgh were to move to Kansas City (it's looking good for them to stay in Pittsburgh now), it seems to me like a good move would be to move Nashville to the Southeast, Kansas City to the Central, and Washington to the Atlantic (hello Crosby/Ovechkin). That wouldn't happen, though. If an East team were to move West, the Red Wings would probably have first dibs on moving East.

Detroit is the only Western Conference team in the Eastern time zone.

^^ aha, no doubthey if they think they have a siginificant chance to win it all this year, why shouldn't they pull the trigger to give themselves the best possible chance?who knows how long the door stays open, and i mean they are nashvilleand also, a predators thread can't go without acknowledgment of one of the worst logos and jersys everamirite
2/17/2007 1:32:25 PM
worst logos and jerseys? of course I think it is cool because I'm a homer (although the mustard yellow ones are horrible), but I still don't think they are bad logos and jerseys at all...most people don't know though that a sabretooth tiger bone was found during excavation for a downtown Nashville building...anyways, not that anyone cares, but that's where the name came from
