http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/subscriptions/mlbtv.jspI do this pretty much every year as a PSA. MLB.tv upped the prices a bit but you can still get the lowend version for $89.99 but it's the same as last year (400k) and you don't have access to the New Mosaic (which better be a hellofa lot better than the old).I purchased the premium one last night for $119.99. It's supposedly going to be double the quality for regular MLB.tv (700k) and Mosaic is going to be "TV quality" at (1.5M). If they work at the mosaic kinks it's going to be badass. Yes, gunzz, this thread is warranted even though it is a baseball thread. I can't help the rest of the idiots make a thread about baseball every time a thought enters their peabrains.

fuck mosaici'm going with the $89.99 again this year
2/15/2007 1:03:48 PM
Definitely getting it this year.
2/15/2007 2:04:53 PM
I don't need it anymore since I moved back home. Now I get all my Yankees games on TV! hehe
2/15/2007 2:10:20 PM
no need either. The sports package on direct TV, FTW.all of the fox sports channels, YES network, etc. for $8.00 extra per month (promo). The normal rate is $12.00.Holla.
2/15/2007 2:16:36 PM
I fucking have to get it because I dont have direcTV
2/15/2007 2:47:05 PM
quick question about mlb.tv... i live in a dorm and don't have cable and i was thinking about getting it to watch the braves. but i was wondering if since the braves are on tv here a ton if they wouldn't put them on mlb.tv since they are not out-of-market games. my question is do they put every game played on here aside from blackouts or will they just put the braves games on here that aren't on tbs fsn or turner south?
3/21/2007 11:17:08 PM
Raleigh is blacked out for the Nationals so you only will miss the Braves games vs themI got the same problem as a Mets fan
3/21/2007 11:33:04 PM
I can't afford that. I just stick with the Gameday Audio feed. Luckily, one of the best sports to listen to on the radio

3/21/2007 11:43:31 PM
How many people can you have using your subscription at once?Thinking about buying the season and splitting it with two people
3/22/2007 8:34:14 AM
^i was wondering that as well, anybody know?
3/28/2007 12:39:41 PM
I mean you can get by dicking around sharing your subscription, but this first time you get locked out and put in time out you seriously want to punch someone in the face.. it's frustrating.
3/28/2007 12:42:23 PM
explain ^
3/28/2007 12:51:49 PM
I don't know how it works, really. Sometimes I can using my account with two other people logged in... sometimes I try to log in with someone else watching a game and it puts the account into like an hour "time out", saying too many people have logged in. I think the "safe" number is usually two.. but like I said, I'm not sure how it works.
3/28/2007 12:53:34 PM
^if too many ppl use it at once you can't log on.and
3/28/2007 12:54:20 PM
In the past 3 people have used at the same time for me fine.. Just don't close your browser or you'll be fucked..Mosaic looks like it has some potential... I just hope it is different from the shitstain they passed off as Mosaic last year..
4/1/2007 2:35:26 PM
I'm gonna have withdrawls this year without MLB Extra Innings. I had it in 2005 with Directv, in 2006 with Dish, and now in 2007 I will have to follow it with XM Radio. I hope like hell that ESPN will show a shitload of games and XM has good coverage this year.
4/1/2007 10:53:40 PM
well i get about 120 cubs games on tvi got the audio feed for work though
4/1/2007 11:03:04 PM
Someone check mosaic out...I'll check out the upgraded quality on Premium (non-Mosaic since I can't d/l it at work) after lunch b/c I don't feel like going down to my car to get my credit card for verification right now..** nm.. I got it to work without the verification. The higher quality is DEFINITELY noticeable. Looks better closer. I still can't check out Mosaic from work though V eh, I don't pay for it. My parents do and I just mooch off of them. I told them that Premium was the only way to get all the Mets games.. [Edited on April 2, 2007 at 1:05 PM. Reason : x]
4/2/2007 1:01:36 PM
I refuse to pay those fuckers for Premium. There is nothing stopping them from simply giving everyone premium for the same price it's always been.
4/2/2007 1:04:47 PM
once you check it out, please post the differences in the two options as i'll probably get one of themis the mosaic feature just something that allows you to watch multiple games at once in a grid-screen type layout?
4/2/2007 1:05:14 PM
My mom got her subscription ready to go to watch all the Yanks' games. Luckily, she lets me mooch off her username so I can watch!<3 MLB.tv
4/2/2007 1:11:56 PM
Can someone explain to me the whole deal with Selig, MLB and DirecTV, and Selig's poison pill he put into the deal so that only DirecTV could sign up?
4/2/2007 2:21:41 PM
^^^ If you have the $$$ I'd go for the Premium. That upgraded resolution is HUGE for baseball. I watched part of a game when I was going to bed, hooked into my TV from my laptop and it was twice as good as last year (the basic resolution this year). Basic is passable buy Premium is the winner.Mosaic is still FUCKED UP though. They said they are working out kinks but I don't hold up too much hope that it ever works smoothly. I thought maybe it was my laptop that was the problem but I tried it on my other really good computer and it still didn't work fast enough...[Edited on April 3, 2007 at 7:13 PM. Reason : x]
4/3/2007 7:13:24 PM
Is everyone else sick as hell of seeing that dumbass Right Guard commercial with the deer that comes up every single time you open the player?
4/3/2007 9:44:35 PM
^the ads can get annoying but luckily only come up at the beginning of the feedi got the premium...since there are 2,000+ mlb games in a season, i think the math works out monetarily
4/3/2007 9:54:32 PM
yeah i got the premium too its a no brainerbut my mets/cards feed is pretty shitty right nowand having to hear joe buck announce isnt helping
4/3/2007 10:00:54 PM
The Mets/Cards game has the widescreen feed... First time I'ver seen that. El Duque ftw.[Edited on April 3, 2007 at 10:02 PM. Reason : yea.. wtf is buck doing? they keep showing the damn concessions..]
4/3/2007 10:01:33 PM
so i picked up shawn green just to fill my 3rd OF spot today...should i drop him for another OF? i like that he is OF/1B but I have Torii, Berkman, Damon, etc
4/3/2007 10:04:56 PM
I'm thinking about going with just the audio version. I just want to be able to listen to the Braves games when I'm at work. Not a bad deal for 14.95 a year.
4/3/2007 10:08:56 PM
WRONG THREAD FOOLbut I don't think Green is gonna play all that well or all that much this seasonUnless he comes out of the gate smoking hot, a fellow by the name of Lastings might have his job by midseason
4/3/2007 10:10:17 PM
yeah i know its the wrong thread for fantasy questions...but you gotta ask NyM410 your questions when you can! dude is hard to get ahold of!
4/3/2007 10:17:22 PM
Im pretty Mets savvy tooJust because I have an original username doesn't make me less of a guru
4/3/2007 10:18:36 PM
oh snapwell i do have big David Wright and i plan on keeping him all year (no injury)
4/3/2007 10:19:31 PM
Does anyone know how to get around the blackout restriction? I am in the Orioles "local" market, but wanna see the Yankee games vs. Baltimore this weekend. I already checked cable and the games are NOT on tv.
4/4/2007 9:14:58 AM
yeah apparently Raleigh is blacked out for Baltimore and WashingtonNot a fan of either team but the Mets do have 19 games vs the Nationals every yearThere's got to be something we can do
4/4/2007 11:31:33 AM
proxy[Edited on April 4, 2007 at 11:42 AM. Reason : nym410 can help -- he is the leading expert on watching sports on the internet illegally ]
4/4/2007 11:41:50 AM
I know he had the FOX saturday blackouts worked outBut I didn't know he could take care of local blackout restrictions as welWe'd all be much obliged
4/4/2007 11:46:03 AM

anyone tried the premium service where you can watch games at 700k? its not working for me on resnet.
4/4/2007 2:16:36 PM
^ i tried it. it looks better, but still not tv quality (unless u are far away from the screen).
4/4/2007 2:20:05 PM
stupid orioles twins blackout
4/4/2007 8:19:03 PM
mosaic ftw this year.. it's awesome.
4/11/2007 10:54:37 PM
its much better when your team doesnt suck
4/11/2007 11:15:29 PM
i've only tried the mosaic on my laptop with a wireless connection and its too choppy but im sure its nice on a cable connection...some pretty neat features
4/11/2007 11:35:51 PM
I have a question about mlb.tv...if you start up an account with multiple people paying, how many different computers can you watch it on?if you can watch it on a few different computers at once, I'd throw in on a package with some people, if anyone is interested
4/13/2007 8:07:00 PM
i've logged in and watched on multiple computers but not at the same time so i dunno about that
4/14/2007 2:23:39 AM
So, I'm having some problems on my laptop...I can never get the feed (audio or visual) to work. I've updated windows media player, but I can't get it to play.Any ideas?
