so im currently covered by three different united health care plans. is this ok or do i need to tell them?

seems a little redundant.if any of them isn't 100% covered, then someone's wasting money on the premium.other than that, it's not going to matter because you're only going to give a given health provider one insurance card, so there's no real potential of them paying the same doctor three times.

well mine is paid by my employer, but my prescription coverage isnt the greatest so i stayed on my moms and now i got added to my step dads. my mom will drop me and i was planning on staying on my step dads too because his is better for some things (i still have better copays though) i just didnt know if there was some loophole that was going to screw me out of coverage.

only if you file multiple claims...

yeah - if you can stay on your step-dad's and its not costing you anything, then by all means keep on itlast year i was still on my parents insurance while also having insurance through my employer. anyway, i had some medical stuff and baically one insurance paid for 80% of it and rather then having to pay the extra 20% i was able to claim that with the other insurance

You may also want to see if there's an incentive to opt out of healthcare coverage from your employer. It's becoming more commonplace now with the rising cost of healthcare to employers.

My employer is giving us an incentive for free health care. Basically, we have to get a physical and they will pay all my health insurance. I was like sweet.
