I did some tutorials and stuff but I still dont really understand it well !!! Thats why I want someone to explain em to me !!!

Is this for Dr. Barlage's class Microwave Circuits class? If so, don't feel bad if you don't understand. Smith charts are difficult to understand and there is a lot of different things you can do with them. The best thing you can do is spend as much time as you need in office hours. What exactly are you trying to do? I took the class two years ago but from what I remember, you should be comfortable using the Smith Chart for stub matching. Working on example problems that use open or short stubs for matching will help you understand how the Smith Chart is used. I'm assuming you've done matching already by hand in 303 and 422 if you took it. The Smith Chart provides a systematic, visual method of solving the problem without having to do all the math with imaginary numbers.
