1800 is a bit too steep
2/6/2007 10:33:25 PM
any idea how much to get the fuel gauge fixed? Ive never had a motorcycle but this looks like a good starter bike.
2/6/2007 10:42:31 PM
perfect starter bike! It runs real strong and that fuel gauge prolly has a broke wire somehere.[Edited on February 6, 2007 at 10:46 PM. Reason : ^^ I sold my 95 tuna for 2200 I mean it was in lil better shape but not much! 1800 is not bad]
2/6/2007 10:45:04 PM
i bought a 95 tuna 2 years ago for 2200
2/6/2007 11:07:16 PM
i hate to say it... but it's just a slip-on exhaust. if the guy told u it was full he is lyingbut that is good bc that means it wouldnt need to be rejetted for a slip on.
2/7/2007 12:03:10 AM
^what does that mean? Is that bad?
2/7/2007 1:07:13 AM
that fuckin piece dont need to be rejetted just cause it got a goddamn slip on wtf is wrong wid you
2/7/2007 1:34:56 AM
Hmm,I thought sombody told me it was a non stock pipe setup, honestly im not trying to mis represent, it may just be a slip on, however the pipes dont appear stock on the bike, they MAY BE, I honestly don't know.[Edited on February 7, 2007 at 10:55 AM. Reason : dd]
2/7/2007 10:42:42 AM
it is a full aftermarkes system btw cause those pre-95 tunas had a stock dual exhaust. so teh header has to be aftermarketstill it does not HAVE to be rejetted, although you could do that and drop some high-flow filters on it
2/7/2007 11:03:11 AM
$960 to get things started.
2/7/2007 12:00:22 PM
never gonna sell a 94 for 1800maybe 1200
2/7/2007 12:50:09 PM
Well make any offers if you want, Your not goign to find many with new tires, new battery. So bitch and moan all you want. All the H8Rs have fun, everybody who cant read OBO go jerk off in another thread.and no idea on the fuel gauge, I honestly havent spent the time on it...never effected my riding.BTW this was my starter bike, I put about 3k miles on it since october, its been good to learn on, but i kinda want something faster and flashier.[Edited on February 7, 2007 at 1:02 PM. sorries i thought it was stock bc that shit was all rusty and black not polished out like most full systems but it is a kat so what was i thinkini said if it has a slip-on it doesnt need to be rejetted.whatever jeff runs his f2 with a full exhaust with not jetting, it runs fine probably lost some power but who carezput the bike on craigslist already.[Edited on February 7, 2007 at 3:09 PM. don't always need to jet after getting a full system, its a waste of money. Just need to tune your jets correctly. Besides I hate carbs... btw new stuff on the bike such as battery, tires, filter, pads, oil change, and so on, does not add value to the bike, its called normal maintenance... Your suppose to do that shit... Also extra gear, aftermarket shit doesn't add value to the bike either, but it allows you to sell the bike with perks faster...

^^^i bet you a double cheeseburger that the fuel gauge issue is connector come loose of the sensor off he bottom of the tank or in the wire harness.
2/7/2007 4:23:33 PM
fuel guage? who needs it, just ride 100miles and refill.
2/7/2007 4:56:20 PM

2/7/2007 6:08:50 PM
$5
2/7/2007 6:19:10 PM
bike is worth 1800 it runs strong and is in decent cond
2/7/2007 6:47:17 PM
$1000
2/7/2007 6:51:04 PM
KBB gives a trade in value of $1675; the tires on the bike now are worth $200+ alone and will last +10k miles; I'd say 1800 is more than fair with the maintenance done to it recently.

2/10/2007 1:02:11 AM
^jeff's right new chain tires doesn't do shit for the value of the bike. now plate it in gold... and u gotta diff. story
2/10/2007 1:02:46 AM
They do add to the value of the bike because of the price range it is in.Its like if you go out and but a 60k mercedes, yea 800 bux in new tires is not a significant investment on top of that. But on a bike worth say 1500 and you will need tp spend 300 to get it up and running, safely then its a significant portion of th emoney you spend. People with shittons of money probably arent goign to be buying at 94 kat.

Yes, however, alot of the bikes this age probalby aren't as well maintained, probably dont have new tires. It adds to the value, is a car with bald tires, the change oil light on, tranny fluid that looks like karo, worth the same as a car with new michilins clean oil, new tranny fluid, the answer is no. Maintenece does matter, I just bought another bike, i had to factor in another $300 bux im going to have to spend on tires in the next few days.. I talked him down another 200 because of it.
