So after four years of driving past this place on Hillsborough, I've finally decided to ask about it

What is it, why are all those books outside, and is there some sort of trade/exchange/checkout policy with them?

that is all

They buy and sell used books, records, etc.
The books outside are old paperbacks that they sell real cheep. Proceeds go to some charity.
It's kind of a cool place to browse around.

It's a nice little bookstore. The paperbacks on one side are 10 cents and the ones on the other will set you back a whole quarter. When the bookstore is closed, the books stay outside so they have an 'honor box' and all the proceeds go to the Friends of the Library. I've gotten some good stuff off the outside shelves and the inside shelves tend to have a good selection. I got 7 out of 9 Shakespeare books required for one of my classes from there.

i've purchased roughly 75 albums at Readers Corner over the past year.

great prices

errry now and then you'll stumble on something good....got Abbey Road, HELP!, some live Chuck Berry, some Stones albums, a rare Buffalo Springfield record and a few other gems out there.

I agree, and they buy books, and pay in credit or cash. you get more in credit though, so take your old books in and get some new ones.

^^ Nice Price is Over Priced

their cheapest records are $5 and a bunch go up to around $10. good condition, but overpriced for VG+ vinyl and G/VG- jackets

Used to go there all the time for records when I lived within easy walking distance. Cool little place.

If you're a D&D person they have a good selection. I noticed that one day on the way out to the left of the door (or right when you enter). Really good sci-fi fantasy selection

Anyone know anything about their buying policies? Do they take a lot of stuff or just cherry pick your books. I don't want to haul box after box down there if it's not worth it.
