The owner's name is Hung, we aren't implying that anyone who works with us is literally "hung." We're relatively close to Triangle Town Center, if you're driving north on Capital, we're on the right shortly before the mall. I didn't post because we're particularly close to NCSU, I posted because we have good food and cheap prices, and figured someone around here is interested. As soon as the owner OK's it, I intend to buy an ad, but without his consent I can't spend money, sorry. Our location WAS Sakura, a year or two ago. From what people have said, although we do not cook on a tabletop in front of our customers, our food is better than theres was.We serve Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese, and Chinese cuisines. So far, I haven't tasted anything on the menu I didn't enjoy, and the only unhappy customers have been the ones who admittedly don't enjoy Asian food to begin with.If you object to my post, I apologize, but I figured there were plenty of NCSU students who were interested in good food.
2/4/2007 10:19:28 PM
Is this like *for realsies* Asian foods or is it like P.F. Changs/Mama Fu's Americanized Asian foods?
2/4/2007 10:34:05 PM
I ordered my dinner from there after work... Must say it was rather tasty!!
2/4/2007 10:39:03 PM
Our food is genuine, with chefs from the various Asian countries preparing dishes from their homelands. We already have a few regulars, including a Thai person who misses "real" Thai food.
2/5/2007 2:35:48 AM
I don't understand why you say its right near triangle town center "on the rigth shortly before" because it doesn't really help your cause.
2/5/2007 2:40:27 AM
website?
2/5/2007 6:58:01 AM
website with menu/prices plzi dont want to get up there and pay $25 a plate for some half assed Teriyaki Chicken[Edited on February 5, 2007 at 10:39 AM. Reason : ]
2/5/2007 10:38:14 AM
ill try it but i doubt it's got shit on Yong Feng Lou.
2/5/2007 10:43:37 AM
Everything was very reasonably priced... They have a little of everything from chinese, to japanese (hibachi), sushi, etc. Pretty much anything I could think of was on the menu.
2/5/2007 12:26:53 PM
We're currently working on getting a website up, as soon as we have one I'll post a link. I believe the most expensive items on the menu currently are only about $15, and most people eat for about $10 or less. So far, I haven't been able to finish an entire plate of the food, the portions are just too large for me. I know we're a bit far from State, but I also know many people who are more than happy to drive a little extra to get quality food, I apologize if you find it annoying that I wanted to inform the students of NCSU of our existence. Also, the manager makes it a point to check on each table personally, and if someone is dissatisfied with their meal, she usually just takes it off the bill, so there really isn't much harm in going in just to try the food.
2/7/2007 1:23:37 AM
i'm trying it tommorow, will report back
2/7/2007 1:33:53 AM
Is the 30% off still good?
2/7/2007 10:00:53 PM
i think ill take my ol lady on friday, but i am kind of an asain food snob(especially japanese). And i have yet to have any really good asian food here in raleigh, imoand if im not satisfied with my meal im going to take it out on your SN[Edited on February 7, 2007 at 11:03 PM. Reason : ]

Just went, pretty good food.
2/8/2007 12:18:41 AM
^ agreedFYI for vegetarians...At first glance, the menu doesn't seem very vegetarian friendly, as each dish has the option of Chicken, Beef, Pork, or Shrimp, but if you ask, they will substitute tofu for you. I got the Pad Thai with tofu and it was really good The red bean ice cream was excellent too! It's definitely worth checking out.
2/8/2007 10:26:15 AM
Not bad, but the discount seems to be over.
2/11/2007 3:12:00 AM
I got the 30% last night, but, maybe that was the last day.Food and Sushi were good. For anyone who still doesn't know where it is....If you're on Capital heading north, its in the Shopping center on the right after the Capital/Louisburg Split, right by the Capital/Millbrook Intersection. (Accross the street from the shopping center with Lowes and PetSmart)

Asian Restaurant Business Manual:Offer low prices and a huge quantity of food.3 Months later, slowly increase cost and decrease quantity of food, until you are paying $20 for 4 pieces of shrimp.

hiring ?
2/11/2007 11:48:30 AM
i'm osrry i have to chime in after going there . the food to me was below average imho, service was ok , atmosphere was just ok too. you're much better off stayin on this side of town and hitting up 5 star or sushi blues on tues/ thurs.
2/11/2007 11:33:25 PM
decent, not worth the drive.
2/12/2007 12:38:55 AM
$1 sushi?
2/12/2007 1:57:57 AM
My parents live on that side of town and I just realized that this place is in the building that used to be Hunan many, many years ago. Hunan was the best Chinese restaurant I've ever been to...their cashew chicken was nothing but chicken & cashews and was absolutely perfect.
2/12/2007 3:18:38 AM
Yesterday (Monday, February 12) was the very last day we offered the 30% discount. We are going to be issuing coupons in various publications from now on, and are continuing our $1 a la carte sushi prices. To those who have visited and found the experience lacking- could you please pm me and tell me in detail what was wrong? We are a rather new business, and are still trying to find and work out all our kinks.
2/13/2007 11:30:14 PM
if you pay me, i will eat your food and tell you how my experience was in full detail and how you can perhaps create a better environment or improve your foods
2/13/2007 11:35:20 PM
people actually go to North Raleigh?
2/13/2007 11:51:44 PM
My GF and i went last friday, it was good, and to give an idea of cost we had 2 beers, an appatizer, and 2 entrees (sp?) and i think it totaled $27 before the discount then we got the 30%. Also, our service was great, although there werent very many people in there when we went, but still good. A+ we will be going againNegative's1) It's about 20 minutes away (depending on how you go)2) It closes at like 9 during the week and 9:30 during the weekend

no North Raleigh sucksmy gf lives in Chapel Hill so Im there and in Durham plently. I just don't see the reason to go outside the belt line to travel to a shitty part of Raleigh.
2/14/2007 9:36:59 AM
haha.north raleigh sucks.. sure it does
2/16/2007 11:35:48 PM
LOLNorth Raleigh is a antiquated term. It should be North Wake... and the term should only be used to describe shit NORTH OF 540!!
2/17/2007 12:21:16 AM
It's damn good, will go again next time I need to go to Sak's 5th Avenue or to see peeps in North Raleigh.
2/17/2007 12:45:38 AM
Eh, a lot of that North Wake demographic is still inside 540, though, especially between Creedmoor and Falls. Hell, north of 540 on Six Forks, it's still mostly old school Bayleaf folks.
2/17/2007 1:23:16 AM
that is NOT a lot of the north wake demographic. have you been up capital lately? say to wake forest?
