^you can still rent a condo. The difference is that individual units are privately owned. There's nothing to stop the individual owner from renting.

My previous condo is still for rent at Champion Court. 2BR/2Bath, 1300ft.

driftwood manor is the cheapest / best bang for your buck around ncsu.

55k - 60k will get you a 2bed, 1.5 bath, 1100 sqft condo.

And its quiet and doesnt have many students.

My wife and I live there, and we would recommend it to anyone looking to buy near ncsu.
