Figured it was time to make this thread, since the promos are out in the wild. This album comes out on March 20th, officially.Guest appearances from Trent Reznor, Omar Rodriguez-Lopez and Cedric Bixler-Zavala (The Mars Volta), James McNew (Yo La Tengo), Tunde Adebimpe (TV on the Radio), Cat Power, and Matt Sweeney.Closest thing I have found to a review on the net:http://blogs.sohh.com/sohhleftcoast/2007/01/lets_do_away_with_the_coastal_1.htmlAlso, it seems they have wised up and started individualizing the promos (voice saying "This promo belongs to ___" all over the record), so that might make it tougher for it to leak. Still, keep your eyes on the internets, kids.I personally cannot wait for this.

too bad RJ went homo on us... He used to be one of my favorite artists.
3/19/2007 12:58:06 PM
yea i am really disappointed in his new album, but Busdrivers new album is decent. Plus he is supposed to be a awesome show live.
3/19/2007 2:55:13 PM

3/20/2007 1:43:41 AM
the opener, Tasmanian Pain Coaster is incredible.in fact, it's all pretty incredible.
3/20/2007 11:07:12 AM
I'm really enjoying this. "We may have been born yesterday, friends, but we stayed up all night" such a hot line.
3/21/2007 1:08:32 PM
Lyrics? Can anyone find any lyrics online ?
3/21/2007 2:39:52 PM
3/21/2007 3:03:15 PM
dunno where they might be online, but he was kind enough to include all of them in the liner notes, so they should be showing up soon.
3/21/2007 4:44:17 PM
"Dear Sirs" is one of the best tracks I've heard in a long time.Straight to the point, very effective. The beat for "League of Extraordinary Nobodies" is pure genius.
3/22/2007 9:03:24 AM
I am loving the last two tracks. Anyone with lyrics?
3/27/2007 9:59:17 AM
if you felt like buying the album, the lyrics are in the liner notes.
3/27/2007 11:02:11 AM
yea don't be a bum. This album is WELL worth your $12.
3/27/2007 2:10:07 PM
i had a conversation with my 17-year-old co-worker the other day sparked by this album. we both agreed that def jux, okay player, anticon, etc. don't do anything for either of us anymore. he said, "i like my hip hop to make me feel like i'm the shit." it was the best thing i'd heard in a long time.

i also like ac/dc a whole lot.
3/27/2007 3:11:07 PM
me too, they're talented
3/27/2007 3:12:36 PM
i could argue that ac/dc has written the same song 1,000 times, but i wouldn't say any of those songs are devoid of substance. as song, in itself, IS substance. it may not be political or introspective, but it is what it is, and i like what i like.
3/27/2007 3:17:42 PM
well, there's no law that says you have to be intellectual.
3/27/2007 5:13:48 PM
exactly. all hail normal folk rap.
3/27/2007 6:14:52 PM
...that being rap for normal, non-intellectual types, not actually "folk rap." what a concept, though? i'll leave that one to doseone.
3/27/2007 6:42:47 PM
I really enjoy the Def Jux stuff. Lyrics aside, I really like the beats a lot.
