A friend and I are going to be at State for summer school then run off again to our separate co-ops. Are there many places that do just a summer lease or will we be most likely living on campus ?

there are lots of people you can sublet from, and plenty of apartments that offer 3 month leases. But the monthly rent for a 3 month lease is likely to be more.

Taking over a lease sounds really good but there's this thing:

August 3 Friday Last day of classes
August 6 - 7 Mon - Tues Final Examinations

So idk how I'd work out that last bit.

Edit: ....as far as leases ending around July 31st go

just find someone that is staying in their apartment and is going to be gone for the summer, it shouldn't be hard to do as it gets closer to summer.
