i'm looking for a computer for my mother - she doesn't need anything fancy but i dont want her to waste money on crap sooo let me know if you have anything that is at least these specs:

Desktop or laptop

1 Ghz processor
512 RAM
60 Gig HD
1/2 decent video card
sound card works (she doesn't need some highend card)
ethernet card (NO MODEMS)

I think I have a 900mhz, 256MB (maybe 512), 20Gb, onboard video, soundblaster live!, 10/100 ethernet.

Can come installed with Ubuntu, perfect for the hardware, automatic updating, no virus or spyware worries. Small form factor box. Great if you just want to cruise the net or play games (comes loaded with like 8-10 games)

ive got a Dell 1.8GHz Pentium 512MB 60G HD, GeForce FX 5200 video, stock sound, 10/100 stock ethernet, speakers, 17" cheap-ass CRT, 2 CD drives, one R, one R/W... winXP office2003, other misc software. free AV protection (mcaffee corporate), all the anti-spyware stuff, all works just fine.
