having problem with power on an ibm t43, any advice on possible repair options would be appreciated. the fucker is just not coming on after a bit of water got in it.

if water got involved you can pretty much safely assume that this isn't a power issue

with the large amount of detail you went into - i'd be willing to bet it's a motherboard issue and that if it was replaced the system works fine - i wouldn't call this a power issue

If you got it through the bookstore you might be able to trade it in for warranty, but since its water damage I'm guessing IBM won't let that fly. Could always try though, I turned mine in.It came back with more errors than I sent it with though.

kinda the same deal herelaptop wont power onorange light on the front blinks about 5 times when i try to power ondont know if its the AC cord or battery and no way to test either one..anyone be able to know?could be motherboard but not sure, no idea at alljust to clarify, the orange link blinks leading me to think the AC cord is bad, there is normally a little light that says its plugged in but that isnt illuminated. could this be the AC cord and where can i get one cheapppppp, or maybe even an old one that no one is using??hope it isnt motherboardthaniks ahead of time[Edited on February 6, 2007 at 5:58 PM.
