what's wrong with dunleavy's contract ? I'm unfamiliar
1/17/2007 2:21:04 PM
what that doesnt say is how much of a PR nightmare S. Jackson was, despite his talent.Larry Legend was eager as hell to get rid of him, and he now has a taker.Murphy is a double double machine, and I can promise you that Dunleavy will have a better career with the Pacers.I dont think its as one sided as that write up would lead you to believe.

Holy shit what are the Pacers doing?Dunleavy makes like $9 million a season and he's horrible.Murphy makes $10 milion a season and he's been worse than horrible this season. Double double machine? He's barely been able to average double digits in MINUTES this season. Awful trade for IndianaIf Chris Mullin pulls this trade off then he may finally undo most of the mistakes he's crippled the Warriors with the past few years.[Edited on January 17, 2007 at 3:05 PM. ^ yeah, they are pretty much going crazy about this deal out here.. the fans just want Dunleavy the fuck away from their team..Nelly has been pretty much talking shit about Dunleavy and Murphy all year..[Edited on January 17, 2007 at 2:44 PM. Reason : dunleavy is so timid it's sickening..]
1/17/2007 2:43:24 PM
They've been trying to move both of those guys for years with zero luck.If Jason Richardson ever regains form and they could just unload Baron Davis for someone younger that doesnt hog the ball and shoot bad threes....

Nelly the rapper?
1/17/2007 3:11:04 PM
Maybe Indianapolis will be a nice change of sceneryMy buddy spotted him walking around by himself all fucked up and disoriented in the RBC parking lot a few years ago after a Canes game and gave him a ride back to Durham.... i still havent figured out what he was doing by himself.[Edited on January 17, 2007 at 3:15 PM. Yeah he's really tearing it up out there. 11-30 FG since the trade He sucks, give it a rest. The entire league knows this.
1/23/2007 1:07:26 PM
Mike Dunleavy through 3 games6-17 FG5-13 FG1-7 FGCombined 12-37 FG, 32.4%Yep, you're a genius buddy.
1/25/2007 4:06:28 PM

1/25/2007 4:08:54 PM
how about Troy Murphy since the trade (3 games)?11pts, 10 rebs (3 offensive), 3 assists, 2 steals, 1 block per game I'll take that any day.oh and.....I was right.
1/25/2007 4:27:28 PM
Actually dude you were wrong.Holy hell Troy Murphy 10 ppg, 10 rbg, and Terrible defense per game all for the low price of $10 million per season. WOW!!!!!!!!Al Harrington since the trade? 50% FG, 24.3 ppgGet back to me in 2011 when Dunleavy and Murphy make a combined $22.4 million and then let me know what a great trade this was for Indiana.
1/25/2007 5:11:14 PM
it WAS a great trade for indianai mean shit, $500 says dunleavy and murphy are never arrested for shooting guns outside a strip club
1/25/2007 6:51:17 PM
Josh Powell had a pretty big game last night. 12 pts, 8 reb, 5 astOh and since I'm here in this thread i might as well mention...Since the trade:Dunleavy 13 ppg, 42.7% FG, 5 reb, 2.8 ast EW.Murphy 9.6 ppg, 44.9% FG, 7.6 reb, 1.5 ast EW.Diogu 9 minutes per game, 40% FG EW.Harrington 18.4 ppg, 7 reb, 2.9 ast, 41.7% 3-pters Nice.Jackson 18 ppg, 3.8 ast, 44.4% FG, 1.4 stl Not bad.Powell & Jaskevicius contribute a little, nothing special...Did I mention Indiana acquired two of the most untradeable contracts in the NBA in this deal? Who are they going after next Raef Lafrentz & Steve Francis???
2/28/2007 4:23:53 PM
^Powell has been contributing quite a bit here lately. He seems to have 1 really good game every week where he has 12 pts and 6+ boards.....for a 6-7th man, thats very good
2/28/2007 5:08:56 PM
i'm glad he's finally getting a chance to show what he can do even though, IF PROVOKED, i have played the 'what if' game about our team the year after he left
2/28/2007 5:30:55 PM
2/28/2007 6:42:45 PM
Treetwista is usually on point....but yeah, Indiana got raped and that was clear from the beginning. Though I did think Murphy would thrive in Indian's SLOOOOOW offense

this has a funny ring to it:"DNP - Precautionary Head"from the yahoo box score last night
3/1/2007 12:49:52 PM
^^^musta missed the sarcasm
3/1/2007 3:00:41 PM
I thought now would be a good point to remind everyone that Indiana has lost ELEVEN consecutive games to slide them out of the playoff picture.Good call, Panthro. Some guru
3/15/2007 3:36:22 AM

clumsy idiots that shouldnt have left college when they did?
4/10/2007 9:06:33 AM
what the fuck.this was not bump worthy
4/10/2007 12:33:50 PM
Yeah, I'm pretty sure the Warriors got the better end of this deal both in the present and for the future considering that since they got healthy after it they've been one of the better teams in the league... about to clinch a playoff berth for the first time since '94 tonight if Phoenix can hold on.
4/17/2007 11:50:49 PM
I agree that the Warriors got the best end of the dealAlso the simple fact that I've seen Powell at NC State football games, with a basketball no less, makes me think he is the man and you/I are/am not so stfu
4/18/2007 2:41:29 AM
Wait so the fact that the Pacers closed the season on a 6-22 skid while the Warriors made a valiant playoff run in the loaded Western conferenceAnd the fact that Indiana took on worse contractsMeans people think the Pacers were the losers in this deal?Thats crazy, it seemed like at the time the Pacers had made a great move!!!
4/18/2007 2:01:57 PM
it was still a good PR movethey wanted to get rid of anything related to the Artest incidentexcept of course for their franchise player J.O.
4/18/2007 2:27:10 PM
Indiana made a horrible trade that will be fucking them over for the next couple of years.
4/18/2007 2:39:24 PM
I think O'neal may soon be out the door as well. It seemed like a dumb trade to begin with. The two best players in the deal were trading away for the two of the worst contracts in the league.
