anybody watching the new season?the first two episodes are on demand
1/15/2007 10:32:00 PM
The first season was great. I'll catch the second series eventually. Probably over the summer.
1/15/2007 11:08:03 PM
That show is freakin' hilarious when Ricky Gervais isn't being so Ricky Gervais. I know it's the whole point... but he's such a dickhole that it stops being funny at times and starts making me mad. Other than that, the writing for the other characters is fucking amazing, and it's usually a funny show. I still won't watch it, because he insists on being a choad in his shows.
1/15/2007 11:15:08 PM
The first season was flawless. The second season is kinda sad. It already aired on BBC a while back.
1/15/2007 11:30:43 PM
First season is awesomeness incarnate. Very smart and well done.
1/16/2007 10:30:00 AM
I saw the episode with Kate Winslet back in the day. It had me in tears. The episode with Ben Stiller was just awful. I have no idea what season those episodes are from.
1/16/2007 7:10:37 PM
^ That was the first season. Kate Winslet was in the very first episode of the series I think.
1/16/2007 8:01:24 PM
So I cant sleep and ive watched the first three episodes and the third one with Harry Potter was hilarious. I probably woke up the neighborhood.
1/24/2007 6:11:27 AM
Yeah, it was great.David Bowie singing about him was very cool too. Poor guy...This season is a lot more sad, but it also brings the funny. My favorite parts are between him and his agent. His levels of incompetence are beyond belief.
1/24/2007 11:35:00 AM
Its hilarious, but sometimes its more painful to watch than it is funny. I cant decide whether Im supposed to want the characters to succeed or fail (becaue they're such dicks).
1/24/2007 2:19:22 PM
Just watched the BAFTA episode and the Andy Millman doll was awesome. I so want one for my birthday. According to Wiki, the Ricky Gervais Show did a third season in Sept and did a few holiday specials. Here I come torrents!
1/24/2007 2:28:07 PM
I enjoy it, but every episode I get the feeling I'm just watching a british version of Curb Your Enthusiasm.
1/25/2007 3:26:29 PM
it's a similar style i guess.. but you'll probably find that curb your enthusiasm wasn't the first show to use it either
1/25/2007 3:45:36 PM

Is it any good?Man (offscreen): Nah, it's shit!Andy: Just riff-raff.. everywhere..It kinda has gotten like CYE, but a different style. Gervais is a fan of the show.[Edited on January 25, 2007 at 10:25 PM. Reason : .]

The second season really hit stride by the final episode. The pen was outstanding.
2/13/2007 1:29:16 PM
the last episode of season 2 was the first episode whole season where i could sit there and not want to die from embarrassment. i could actually sit and watch that episode, laugh, and enjoy it.
2/13/2007 1:37:20 PM
it's funny how embarrassing season 2 was in the comfort of my own home
2/13/2007 4:22:52 PM

DAMMIT! Just when it was getting good. This was some quality shit, but I guess he realized the plot had sorta died and the novelty had worn off. Still some of the funniest shows I can remember this side of It's Always Sunny.
3/20/2007 11:16:34 AM
Ricky Gervais knows to just give us a little of a show. I appreciate the fact that he knows not to drive an idea into the ground. Although i could use as much Ricky Gervais Radio Show as possible.
3/20/2007 11:21:27 AM
Ricky Gervais is the man. Hopefully him and Merchant will make another bomb ass series. I'm glad to hear he is ending it with another special like with The Office

12/13/2007 11:57:09 AM

12/13/2007 12:22:22 PM
What a wonderful series. Can't wait till Sunday.
12/13/2007 8:05:43 PM
tonight at 9.if it's anywhere close to as good as the office finale, it will be amazing
12/16/2007 5:18:38 PM
anyone else watch? i though it was really, really goodthe part with clive owen was probably the greatest scene in the series
12/17/2007 1:06:35 AM
Hahaha yeah the Clive Owen part was great. It was pretty funny when she left so they called the other extra in and she was that old woman and he was like "...fuck off"The Dr. Who part was pretty funny too, it was great they they got David Tennant to pretty much make fun of himself (any of you who watch the new Dr. Who series knows what I mean).
12/17/2007 10:25:03 AM
It seemed like the show gets more and more serious and depressing and less funny as it goes along...not really a criticism, just an observation. And this finale was especially so...I understand that with an hour and a half episode, you need more plot development time and stuff, but this one just seemed like a normal episode of Extras stretched out over the hour and a half.It was good, especially the ending and the Clive Owen scene...but just seemed forced into a longer timeslot unneccesarily
12/17/2007 12:10:31 PM
^agreed. Even the original Office was less LOL than its American counterpart. I mean you actually felt bad for the characters most of the time. Still funny though, just in a different way.
12/17/2007 12:28:15 PM
^American counterpart sucks balls compared to original office
12/17/2007 6:30:18 PM
it doesn't suck, but the British Office was a much smarter show, and they knew when to end it. the storylines on the American Office now are pretty weak.
12/17/2007 8:04:22 PM
It was really really good, and I agree with whoever mentioned the Clive Owen part - it was hilarious.
12/17/2007 8:30:31 PM
12/18/2007 7:56:49 AM
Great ep. How can a show be so funny and also so depressing at the same time.
12/18/2007 8:42:56 PM
Only through the brilliance of Ricky Gervais.Apparently, that's his gift.
12/19/2007 10:46:12 AM
so... srsly... anyone have a link?
12/19/2007 1:16:25 PM
