HiSo I am buying an expensive camcorder from eBay...the guy who wants to sell is in London along with the camcorder. Yet, eBay says its location is in Pennsylvania. I get another email from another guy just right now that asks if I am interested in the SAME product, SAME exact item, SAME exact number. What is going on here? Thanks.

half the time you're screwed if an ebay transaction goes bad.2 halves of the time you're screwed if someone contacts you away from ebay based on your ebay bids.

i'm involved in what i am now thinking is a scam. originally the user had feedback of 100% from 16 separate legit users. he was selling an escort radar detector and i jumped on it and won the auction at $200 on january 7th. i paypalled him the money immediately and well since then have received nothing from this guy. when i emailed him to ask when he sent it, he did reply back telling me he sent it friday the 12th and that if i didnt get it by friday the 19th, he would file an insurance claim. however, i never paid for insurance. it was $15 postage but perhaps it was included in that. anyway, since then i have sent him 3 more emails and have not heard from him since that 1st response. looking at his rating tonight, i saw someone left him negative feedback for another radar detector he was selling and same thing, that buyer hasnt heard from the seller at all! so now i have to deal with paypal and try to get my $$ back. are my chances of gettin my $200 back good or bad?

Superman: whats the feedback # and percentage for your seller?^^how many of those 16 positives were on items sold and how many items bought?i am skeptical of buying anything for more than about 20 bucks if the seller doesnt have at least 100 feedback with >98% on items SOLDcause it would be easy to buy 20 small items and get 100% feedback and then jip somebody on a car or some expensive shit^basically[Edited on January 26, 2007 at 1:18 AM.
