Which one should I get for xbox360?

You have any information Hova? Or are both shit? Give me some ideas people.

March Madness looks pretty sick from the videos I've seen but I know the EA series usually was shit on the previous gen...

unless they totally redid March Madness, it will blow. Hard.

The Dynasty mode was basically unplayable due to shitty programming.

you're gonna get some rap that this should be in entertainment, but i'll give some info.

I have 2k7, and its pretty damn good......I have the last 3 years of the 2k7 series.....the offseason/in season recruiting stuff is about the same except you only send one email out a week instead of 5( i like this much better).

In the actualy game itself......i like it alot. The graphics are VERY well done. I had a guy 6'9 260 and a guy 6'9 190 and when they were on the court you could REALLY tell a difference. The game play is fun, although if you are a just drive it in all the time type of player, you won't like it b/c dribble drives are almost impossible to do.

I've played the demo for March Madness for 360, gameplay is definitely much better then NCAA 2k7 (Though I've only played 2k7 for ps2, but I'm assuming all that will change alot is graphics). Dynasty mode for 2k7 is somewhat a pain in the ass to get used to (recruiting takes a ton of time) but I really like how its done and its rather fun. Hoping March Madness has a good dynasty mode, but I'm buying it.

I'm actually more into fun gameplay and real college atmosphere more than I am in depth dynasty mode. I mean I'll do it but I don't have the time once I start grad school again to fuck around with in depth stuff. It's just for a break from doing real life shit 24/7.

How is that kind of stuff in 2k7?

[Edited on January 14, 2007 at 12:25 PM. Reason : the football game is the only dynasty type thing I've ever done in a sports game for a year +]

ahahah, bullshit

march madness plays better than live (which isnt that hard) but ch2k7 plays better than nba2k7, which is pretty fucking impressive

dynasty modes in both are supposed to be good, ch2k7 is deep as hell. You can recruit starting at HS freshman and keep in contact with em til you can officially contact em their senior year and such) preseason tourneys, nit, all that shit. career mode of starting off at a low school (got A&T invited to the tourney, tryna get to a bigger school tho cause i can land only 2 star, 3 star recruits at best hahah), but march madness dynasty is supposed to be good this time around too. Start off at a low school, do well, boosters give u upgrades (better gym = more points up in training. get a school band/designated student section increases momentum shifts) things like that. And the graphics look better in march madness, but alot of animation quirks

but little stupid things like noah having a fade instead of his ponytail and shit like that keep me thinking MM isnt paying much attention to detail.

get ch2k7 so i can bust ya ass online in it, no homo

^^ For me I've only played 2k7 on PS2, I don't know if they've fixed the things I didn't like for the 360 version, but I hated the system of doing dribble moves and I hated shooting. It might have been just because I had been playing alot of NBA '07 beforehand and I was used to shooting with that system, but I didn't like it.

I think I'm gonna go out and get 2k7. Just a few questions. To get the roster update all you need is that $15 transfer kit thing? How is the college sound things... like chants, atmosphere, fight songs, etc? How is the commentary? Are the player movements and arenas pretty good quality?

I just got the XBox360 and this will probably be the only game I get until Baseball 2k7 comes out..

Also, how do you download the demos? I'm a complete noob when it comes to the 360...

in 2007 there is absolutely no reason to ever buy an EA Sports basketball game when you can get the same year's 2K basketball game

EA owns things like football and golf

2K pwns in basketball

chants, fight songs, and atmosphere are great. they play both the red and white from state and our fight song, the real versions.

commentary is also very good, with verne lundquist and bill raftery

player movements are AMAZING, most realistic looking i have ever seen

the arenas are the only thing that is subpar in the game, but they're not that bad.

Last question. Any good deals on it anywhere? Is it still 39.99 at bestbuy or am I going to be paying full price?

Thanks for the input though... I'm gonna pick it up after work.

I'll also concur that 2k7 is a solid game and very good atmosphere. From the weekly shows to the in-game crowds chanting "Threeeeee!" when you try to shoot a three, this game has atmosphere and the college feel in spades.

on a sidenote, was it agreed upon league wide that every single PA announcer at an NBA game this year would throw an extra high pitched sound to 'three', as in "Matt Carroll, for Tha-rEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"

I enjoy 2K7 for XBOX. Still don't have the 360, and my XBOX seemed fine until I got an HDTV.

oh yeah i tried to do some long one about "Gimme an L, L! Gimmie an O, O!"

etc and i had the crowd say something about loser

they had a good idea but i dont know about the execution...i need more stuff you can cuss on, like the custom signs in NCAA Football 200(4)? i had such signs as "Lee Corso is a faggot" and "Kobe is innocent. I raped her."

^did they get the arena right at least? in March Madness 2005 they had some generic arena that looked like some kind of Reynolds Version 2.0 and was named the E&S Center, and the year before that they had a white block S instead of a red one.

you're retarded...the court is red...i updated the court on my rosters so its red around the side and everything...

please tell me a game that has exact replicas of every person? pro sports games have players that dont look like the real players...

the arenas are all pretty much average, nothing like what they did for ncaa 07

^that's the one thing that disappoints me about March Madness in the past. EA Sports can go off and almost nail every stadium in D-IA football, but can't do it for at least all of the major conference teams.

God damn, that game is awesome.. I'd like to get the rosters but don't feel like rushing out to get a mem card.. is there anything like the ps2 'xport' that you can use w/ just the hard drive and not a mem card?

get college hoops 2k7.

March Madness sucks. Yes, the players look good, but they move like doo doo. download the demo of both.

i can tell you 2k6 flat out sucked for regular xbox, the game play was horrible... well i guess you could say that it is actually very strategic if you are into that, you have to be into running offenses and moving the ball around... but it doesnt have the fun factor of just being able to take it to the hole with any guy you want... or just go around jacking up threes, cause thats all i like to do in bball games... be careful of 2k7

College Hoops 2k7. Sure, EA's game may look better, but gameplay-wise, MM07 can't hold a candle to CH2K7, just like Live07 can't compete with NBA2K7. That's my opinion.

Just to mention:

IGN
College Hoops 2K7: 8.2
March Madness 07: 7.9

Gamespot:
CH2K7: 7.9
MM07: No Review Right Now

So, the choice is yours.

I got 2k7 and haven't gotten to play it a ton, but it seems like it's good. Once I figure out how to correctly run some plays (I've never really gotten into a bball game before, so I don't know all the tricks about running these), and then some gameplay sliders (I'm still missing waaaay too many layups), I think this will be a good game.

Yeah, it really is. I had to adjust the sliders a bit, and layups was the biggest one i think.

i mean when i play against my friends we miss some layups, but thats like a minimal amount just like in real life, that shit happens...even though you get mad if you miss one here and there, that's realistic...

reviews for MM are coming out and its basically..."its an alright game but could be great if they had a better framerate and less choppyness..."

for bball again this year, take 2k sports...

for hockey, get ea's nhl 07
