I've had a weird ear infection[ for about two months now. it came in november and i went to the doctor three times and was eventually given some medicine that worked a a little and that all but cleared it up. now the infection/pain/ringing is back and ready to rumble. my question is, do i go back to the same doctor and tell him that the last medicine almost worked and request he give me more of that, or do i go to a specialist e.g. ENT b/c the current doc isn't resolving the issue?

why don't you ask him if he thinks you need to go to a specialist. usually you have to be refered by your primary physician anyways or insurance won't cover it.

go back to the doctor because depending on your insurance, you might need a referral for a specialist

but if you are looking for a ENT i recommend North Carolina Eye, Ear, Nose & Throat, i was really pleased with the care I got during my neck stuff
