yeah that is why raikkonen is driving for ferrari, he replaced schumacher

now the question is do I continue with McLaren/Mercedes or do I follow Kimi to Ferrari?

i don't see kimi fitting in and lasting more than a few years are Ferrari.

it's kinda scary to see him smiling

My logic being:

Massa and Fisichella being the only 2 drivers staying with their teams that are "good" teams
Ferrari won a lot last year still
Fisichella hasn't done shit compared to Alonso at Renault
Massa has won twice in his "rookie" year with Ferrari (although he already has driven a lot before)
Schumacher is gone
Kimi will do OK but I still don't see him winning with it all with a new team the first year
Mclaren will still have Mercedes trouble even with Alonso; Hamilton is a rookie ain't gonna happen
Fisichella will be fired half way through the season somehow by Flavio

so it just seem Massa is the obvious choice to me.

I can see mclaren getting the car reliable again. more of their DNFs last year were due to accidents than by car failure.

Schumacher is going to stay on with some kind of advisory role I believe. Rumored he might test, but probably not. I mean obviously he isn't going to race. But remember Mika Hakinen had the bug to drive late last year after being out of the car for several years.

Dang do I pull for Kimi still with Ferrari or Alonso, who I admire, with my favorite team since Mika's days??? argh! I mean I have a McLaren Mercedes coat I had to order from Europe for crying out loud!

Quote :
"Some details concerning Michael Schumacher’s new role within the team were also revealed. The former champion will have regular technical input into Ferrari’s development programme, even if he does not attend tests in person.

“Meetings, which will include Michael have been programmed all year, on technical issues, so that he can interpret the feelings of a driver,” explained Almondo. “We have a new technical organisation which will be helped by Michael Schumacher. We are developing technological aids which will allow him to contribute to tests, even if he is not present, and during meetings and at Maranello."

Recent reports that Schumacher may carry out testing duties were dismissed, with Domenicali confirming that there were currently no plans for the German to drive the team’s new car, which will be unveiled to the press at Ferrari’s Maranello base on Sunday."

The new McLaren looks great too. It'll be interesting to see how it'll fair against the F2007.

^That's an interesting article but it doesn't really draw much water as far as a performance comparison between Super Aguri and Renault. It's the early stages of testing and each manufacturer is just trying to work out the kinks right now. Come March 18th I'm sure it will be a much different story.

Why does it say fiat on the nose of the ferrari?

Fiat S.p.A. owns Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Ferrari, Maserati, and Iveco.

"Livery
Ferrari's principle sponsor is Philip Morris International, parent company of Marlboro cigarettes. In order to circumvent the European tobacco advertising ban, the livery on the car simply has a red and white "barcode", hence the advertising at European Grands Prix will be purely through association. Ferrari are the only team to receive tobacco sponsorship for the 2007 season."

i read that marlboro is still the number one spender in f1, tens of millions above anybody else --but they cannot say marlboro on a majority of races this season

yes, it's pretty bad. The RB3 looks pretty nice and it's twin keel. STR had another setback and their car won't be ready until mid february. Williams has a great website up http://www.attwilliams.com that gives you some insight on the design and different components of the car.

The Renault R27 in its race livery. The car looks competitive but will they have a competitive driver?

definitely the worst livery that's been shown so far. Great car, though. I think they'll be competitive early with fisi but then struggle like he usually does, then make a comeback at the very end as heiki, and possibly fisi's replacement get comfortable. 3rd in constructors race.

seriously though Spyker's boss is pissed about STR and Aguri running customer cars, so we will see. Not a good year ahead for the backmarkers!
