Is it possible to leave feedback for someone on the very last day its allowed, and then the other party won't be able to reply with a negative on my account the next day?

Long story short, guy sent me an item that doesn't even come close to working properly. I went through the ebay "item not as described" process and they said (after the process was complete) my item wasn't covered. The guy won't send a replacement (even though he said he would during the ebay process) so I have no other option but to leave negative feedback. Only problem is I have an active seller account and a negative feedback would hurt my average selling prices?

Will my cheap-ass feedback plan work? Any other ideas?

I've wondered this too, but I think it extends their time to leave feedback if you post feedback.

Sometimes you just have to take one for the team. Leave crushing negative feedback, and respond to his negative feedback that he sold you a broken product and he is just leaving it in retaliation.

Good luck... my boyfriend bought a PS3 and the guy shipped an empty box... no recourse available either.

ebay sucks...don't use it. I just had my account terminated for no reason and i've been sending ebay email after email demanding an explanation and all they do is send me back the same cookie cutter response.

^ yeah, ebay is terrible. they have only the barest consumer protections possible, and always shirk responsibility.

I love ebay. I've had my fair share of bullshit on it too, but damn if its not easy 99% of the time.

^^If they terminated your account, call them. I had my account shut down once because I owed them like 98 cents and just didn't realize it. Had to call em, was on the phone for literally 5 minutes and got everything taken care of.

It's quite possible they terminated the account due to hacking or some other thing outside of your control

see, i tried that. I emailed them several times requesting a phone number. they keep telling me that they don't use a phone system for customer support. And the best part is, that every time i get a response, its two days later and from a totally different person. I'm done with that shit. I could get into detail about what exactly happeend and you will see why i'm so angry and pissed off.

I would certainly like to take them to court over it too. Its definitly not a 'money owed' issue either.

Yeah, that's our stance. For some reason they're just not handling it. I think he's going get like up to $200 (minus the seller's listing fee... WHICH REALLY DOES NOT MAKE SENSE TO ME), so like maybe $175... but not ~$800 (he bought one early)

Ebay is shitty as hell. if he leaves you a neg response you can leave a follow up.

I hate ebay

go for it...so long as the negative feedback doesn't show up on your account, you should be golden. the only thing i think he can do if the feedback period has passed is leave a follow-up to your feedback.

1. Create a new username and sell an item of interest to him
2. Send a nice empty box
3. profit!

If it's past 45 days, you're fucked.

Just leave negative feedback, you'll do it anyways, and contact ebay.

OR squaretrade.
