My keyless entry clicker got soaked and now it doesn't function. What's the easiest/cheapest solution to get this working again or another one for my car. Thanks.

You can only hope to completely dry it out and hope it functions again. Otherwise, new one from dealer = $texas.

$texas? I doubt it would cost me more than $30 to get it replaced. If I order a new one online how easy is it to configure it to work with my car?

if its like a honda/toyota type remote, then you can just read your owners manual and configure it, its not too bad. if its like a mercedes/bmw/audi remote that has a key on it, then my only guess is to go to the dealer

it is honda, but it didn't come with keyless entry

ive done that to mine several times, pop it open, take the battery out and let it dry good, then put it back togetherthey are somewhat sealed to keep water out, so if it does get in there, it aint gonna dry out easy on its own

just go on eBay motors and buy another "clicker"[Edited on January 4, 2007 at 12:11 AM. Reason : lol]

yes, they arebut before you do all of that, take the battery out, find a blow dryer, dry that sucker out, put the battery back in and try that

I got an OEM toyota one off of ebay new for like $16. Programming instructions included in package and went something likeopen door, insert key/remove key 4 times, insert key turn to ON, close door, open door, close door open door, press and hold lock and unlock on remote, press lock, press unlock, turn key to off remove key ... or something like that.It took about 10 times to get it right because there was a maximum time b/n actions that I kept screwing up or doing something out of sequence.

I jumped into the ocean with my keys 2 years ago and it still works. Luck of the draw I guess.
