I would love to see Wake win it, but I predict Louisville wins 31-24Corso hates Wake Forest apparently, he claimed they had "0% chance" in this game, and earlier this year he said that they shouldn't even be on the same field as NC State.NC STATE!

^based on athleticism and potential he's right.this game will be closer than the experts think. wake is great against passing teams and struggle against pounding teams.
1/2/2007 2:00:36 AM
that is because Corso doesn't know anything about college football
1/2/2007 2:00:55 AM
in on the first page
1/2/2007 2:07:04 AM
Corso coached at Louisville so there is a little bias on his part.Louisville doesn't just throw the ball guys. Their offense is as good as anyones. Kolby Smith has turned into a good back even after Bush got hurt.
1/2/2007 2:09:03 AM
I don't know what to expect from bowl games anymore. So far this bowl season has seen some crazy games and some really close games that should've been blow outs and a few games that were supposed to be close but were blowouts. My gut feeling is that Wake is going to get pounded but we'll see, anything can happen.
1/2/2007 2:11:56 AM
Well, this will probably be a letdown after watching tonight's game. It has a lot to live up to after the Blue turf boys. Then again, we may never see a game like that again.
1/2/2007 2:18:27 AM
My feeling is this is just gonna be a boring game........and Wake will probably lose by a decent 10-14 pointsIMO
1/2/2007 2:20:17 AM
he's not bias. Louisville should dominate wake forest no questions ask.[Edited on January 2, 2007 at 2:44 AM. Reason : sdf]
1/2/2007 2:44:06 AM
I want Wake to win this badly...hope it's closer than the experts think.
1/2/2007 7:56:53 AM
I can't wait to go to this game tonight. Louisville 38 Wake 17
1/2/2007 10:03:48 AM
Corso is the same guy that said Louisville shouldn't be on the field with Miami because all their Florida players are Miami rejects. I like him but his analysis on games is probably about even with hcngay.I honestly don't see how this one is going to be close. Louisville scores 39 points a game and no one has been able to stop them yet. Wake's defense isn't great and they haven't faced a good QB yet. Maybe they'll surprise me but I don't see it at all..^ have fun.. I'm sure it will be a good atmosphere for Louisville people..[Edited on January 2, 2007 at 11:13 AM. Reason : x]

louisville 35wake 10
1/2/2007 1:15:57 PM
Louisville 14 over Wake
1/2/2007 1:17:35 PM
Wake has to keep it close early, if they can avoid going down 10-0, or 14-0 in the 1st quarter, I think they can hang. If Wake can score first, that takes a tremendous load off their back
1/2/2007 2:23:30 PM
Both teams' destinies lie in the QB's hands.

just livin the dream...
1/2/2007 3:23:05 PM
games aren't played on stat sheets. if wake can keep them to 21 points they have a great chance to win. wake wins games off of great defense and forcing turnovers. they force alot of turnovers against pass first teams like bc florida state and clemson. if ville gets teh running game going its prolly over. wake lost to vt and clemson in the 2nd half off of those teams pounding the ball. wake runs trickery and wierd running plays that are deadly if they get you. with all this time off to practice i am sure they will get a few big plays on offense. does anybody know if wake has their injured rb back for this game?also its going to be fun watching the 2 best kickers in the country.
1/2/2007 3:30:36 PM
1/2/2007 3:36:38 PM
i dont know if any team can be more "pass first" than florida state was.
1/2/2007 3:39:37 PM
wake is going down hard
1/2/2007 7:20:20 PM
^^ummmm... Hawaii or Texas Tech
1/2/2007 7:27:29 PM
way to bend context. i was pretty much talking about teams wake has played.
1/2/2007 7:33:55 PM
i'm still hungover from the fiesta bowl

i really want to root for wake, too bad i bet against them

Supposedly every living member of all the Wake Forest football teams are in the stadium in Miami tonight. Wake's AD confirmed on The LoganZone today that this is largest gathering of Wake Forest alumni and fans ever.[Edited on January 2, 2007 at 8:22 PM. Reason : .]
1/2/2007 8:18:57 PM
sweet, I get to watch this in HD
1/2/2007 8:19:21 PM
I still can't beleive it. It is video game-esque seeing wake on such a big stage on the national scene...IN FOOTBALL?this is one of the craziest things ever. how many students does wake have again?
1/2/2007 8:22:45 PM
did muhammed ali go to louisville? and why is dwyane wade out there
1/2/2007 8:25:53 PM
ali looks like hes about to die
1/2/2007 8:27:18 PM
Wade plays for the Miami HeatMiami is where the Orange Bowl isif you were being sarcastic, i apologize
1/2/2007 8:27:33 PM
I guess Wade is out there as a city of Miami rep.
1/2/2007 8:27:46 PM
I don't understand why anybody ever chooses to take the ball first.
1/2/2007 8:29:18 PM
ah, the heat, duh. i missed his intro and just saw the honorary captains for the teams
1/2/2007 8:29:36 PM
i think it's a good decision for wake to take the ball first actually.they're gonna have trouble stopping louisville, so they want to try to score on their first drive to kind of get some momentum before louisville has a chance to score.
1/2/2007 8:30:03 PM
wake 7-0 nice return!!!!
1/2/2007 8:30:46 PM
prolly
1/2/2007 8:31:30 PM
That would have probably been a illegal procedure penaltyRetared play by returner.
1/2/2007 8:32:01 PM
wow they look like shit, even in HD
1/2/2007 8:33:43 PM
^^^^^if they're expecting to have trouble stopping them then they've already lost. They are not an offensive team even when they are dominating but by taking the ball you automatically give up field position to start the game and if the team scores to finish the half they get the ball right back and you lose a possession.[Edited on January 2, 2007 at 8:34 PM. Reason : the team that gets the ball first has to go 80 yards unless they get a big retrun.]
1/2/2007 8:34:08 PM
see now they have it on the 26 and every play wake used on that drive was wasted for a loss of 6 yards.sure, it works out sometime but its just not the wisest decision to take the ball because there are more advantages in giving the other team the ball.dad got hoes, honey
1/2/2007 8:40:31 PM
dude what are you talking about? they built up momentum by getting 2 or 3 first downs, converting on some 3rd downs, and then they punted it away and gave it to louisville on their own 26, nothing about that is negative
1/2/2007 8:47:00 PM
WTF...that flag was reversed. A CONGRATULATORY SLAP TO THE FACE, come on.
1/2/2007 8:54:23 PM
yeh that was bogus
1/2/2007 8:56:13 PM
State - UNCG going into overtime score 77 for those that care.
1/2/2007 8:57:33 PM
good special teams, should have been blocked though
