thought i'd give all the uwoods wolf webbers a heads up...

some black dude in a hoodie & a baseball cap tried to pry open the lock of our door tonight for 5+ minutes. would have been caught by the cops if the dumb bitch at 911 sent a car over here when i told her instead of keeping me on the phone til i saw him walk away from the door. then told me to go outside and see if he is still out there.
she didn't believe his behavior was typical of someone trying to break in. she says he was probalby drunk & lost.
uh, if you're trying to get into a friend's apartment, you dont wear dark clothes and purposely conceal your face from the peephole with your hood. you also go away sometime after "who are you? i dont know you" and before "the cops are on the way" when you decide to book it and run away
the security guy (anthony knight) seemed annoyed that i interrupted whatever he was doing and didn't try to talk to the RPD guy when he came
so everyone be on the lookout & keep your doors locked & deadbolted, and call 911 not the security guy, even though his response time was a minute quicker (hurt RPD's response time cause we dont have street signs)

I hate to say this, but if he had a crow bar and trying to break in....shooting him through the door would have been "almost" justified in this case. All you gotta do is say that you feared for your life and that he wouldn't leave after tell him you were armed. In this case, shoot to kill. If you don't kill him, he would probably sue you....but dead men can't testify!

Just do what I did one night when some crackhead tried to break into my place a couple months ago:

Open the door with no clothes on and point a weapon of your choice in the general direction of his midsection (or grill), then tell him that if he doesn't leave in 10 seconds you'll gut him like a trout/blow his fucking head off.

RPD is complete and total shit, as far as I'm concerned. We've had drunken brawls and shots fired in the parking lot at work, even had customers get the shit beaten out of them, and the cops don't show up for over an hour after the call gets placed--and then when they finally DO show up, all they do is call us liars because the people involved were long gone by the time they finally deigned to show up.

Fuck the police.

no almost about it. If you catch someone in the process of breaking into your house, you are allowed by law to shoot. once they obtain entry and are in the house, then the rules change and you must have the "fear for your life or imminent danger"

some friends of mine lived on the 1st floor in our building last year and had their front door broken halfway off when a fight started during a party and it stayed that way for over a week til the preiss company finally came out & fixed it.
one of them got held up at gun point taking the trash out later on, but nothing happened when they didn't have a front door that closed all the way.
