I purchased my first (film) SLR a couple years ago, after getting tired of my point-and-shoot destroying my shots. It was a Nikon N75, and I really like it, but I want to get a digital SLR sometime soon, since I develop all my film onto CD anyway. It looks like I'm not going to be able to find a buyer for the N75, and I thought the lenses for the Nikon D and N series SLRs were interchangeable, so i might go with a used D50 or the new D40. I don't know much about Canon's line, or any other players out there.any suggestions? advice on where to buy?

Can't the Nikon DSLRs use older Nikon glass?D50s are very inexpensive, and I hear they put out pretty good pictures.
