Post any news about specific recruits/players that switch from BC to State to follow O'Brien. Hopefully we can get all our recruits plus a few of their better athletes.

Will Thompson, a 4 star recruit at LB, opened up his recruiting again. Maryland, Virginia, and WVU all were pursuing him at one time. I wouldn't mind seeing him follow though I've read he is nearly certain to got to UConn to stay close to home (he's from NJ).

Isn't there a penalty for intra-conference transfers? Something like sit out two years and lose a year of eligibility. That would deter most players from transferring.

That wouldn't matter if they are recruits

Unsigned recruit /= TransferVerbal commitments are not binding for either the school or the player. I seriously doubt we see any transfers, other than possibly guys graduating and transfering to play their 5th year for TOB without sitting out (new rule). We could potentially recruits switch their commitment to NCSU, especially if TOB brings a big chunk of his staff with him.

kind of off topic but I was watching TOB on Tony Haynes the other night and he almost speaks too well. I'm kind of used to a chuck/parcells approach that they are here to coach football not talk to the media. He is good though. Just hope he is able to fire the place up before a game.

"Whenever Colin Powell is on the news, white people give him the same compliments: 'How do you feel about Colin Powell?', 'He speaks so well! He's so well spoken. I mean he really speaks so well!' Like that's a compliment, shit. 'He speaks so well' is not a compliment, okay? 'He speaks so well' is some shit you say about retarded people that can talk. What do you mean he speaks so well? He's a fucking educated man! How the fuck you expect him to sound, you dirty motherfucker? 'He speaks so well.' What are you talking about? What voice were you expecting to come out of his mouth? 'Imma drop me a bomb today', 'I be Pwez o dent!'."[Edited on December 11, 2006 at 3:16 PM. Reason : Chris Rock]

He is known for producing o linemen, but he also could be reguarded as developing QB's too....him being a QB coach, his development of matt ryans, and the hasselback brothers, hopefully we could get a great o line and develop a qb

^ Yeah that would be nice. I get the feeling that he is more of a run the ball behind that sick O-line and arrange a solid D. Play field position, then fill in the blank with average but intelligent QB. That was chucks main problem, he relied on a good QB to make gametime offensive decisions (or luck).Hopefully TOB will put together a winning team even in the years when we don't have a good QB. You know that we will always still have years when the highly touted QB turns out to be crap and we have to do the best with what we have.... I like TOB in that situation.
