^but he wouldn't run that triple option here; it would be more of a spread option here because we have more talent. it would look like florida's, wvu's more soand plus our talent isn't all that much lower than those schools

^^ the guys we have on our team right now are just as athletic as the players for fsu, um, and vt. and that navy qb was talking about the disparity between navy's players and teams like navy. there's a huge margin there in athleticism. to try and say fsu, um, and vt have an equal advantage over our players is straight out dumb.[Edited on December 6, 2006 at 12:03 PM. I think one of the biggest misconceptions people seem to have about our football team is that we have somehow "caught up" in athletic talent to some of the traditional powerhouses. We haven't. Not even close. We're not Miami, we're not Oklahoma, hell we're not even VT at this point. Take FSU for example, they used to sub out 7 players on defense at a time and not skip a beat. We could NEVER do that. What we have is a hand full of stand out athletes among a muck of mediore to sub-par players. Luckily, we're in the ACC, so if we get a decent coach that is good at managing a team with mostly crap players (like Paul Johnson), we have a shot. He could start winning right away with our current team. Guys like Jimbo Fischer are used to working with teams that are loaded with NFL talent, we just don't have that right now.
