I'm quitting the wolfpack club and giving up my lifetime rights.
12/5/2006 10:37:07 PM

12/5/2006 10:38:09 PM
why, he is a great coach
12/5/2006 10:38:31 PM
let me guess, you wanted to keep herb n chuck?
12/5/2006 10:40:43 PM
oh shiti'm starting a letter writing campaign tonight
12/5/2006 10:41:11 PM
i want Anthony Barbour
12/5/2006 10:41:39 PM
12/5/2006 10:42:13 PM
all he did was make a non-notre dame independent football program not suck total ass.he must suck
12/5/2006 10:42:39 PM
i thought we wanted an exciting offense
12/5/2006 10:43:23 PM
I'll buy them. fucking retards
12/5/2006 10:43:35 PM
yea its not like other great coaches have had to start at small schools and work their way up
12/5/2006 10:43:36 PM
yeah, Duke hired some no-name from Army to coach bball like 30 years agothat was stupid
12/5/2006 10:45:17 PM
I PERSONALLY DO NOT WANT PAUL JOHNSON!LSU's JIMBO FISHER FOR NEXT NC STATE FOOTBALL COACH!(especially if he brings the Auburn defensive coordinator with him!)LSU>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>NAVYLSU>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>NAVYLSU>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>NAVY
12/5/2006 10:45:34 PM
you people are sure good at reading up on a guy. it's been said time and time again, he runs the offense he has the recruits for. Fisher could be another Amato. We know PJ WILL NOT be another Amato, and that's a guarantee.[Edited on December 5, 2006 at 10:47 PM. Reason : .]
12/5/2006 10:46:55 PM
^^yea so its a lot easier to look good there[Edited on December 5, 2006 at 10:47 PM. Reason : .]

12/5/2006 10:50:47 PM
No need in getting pissy about this shit. Any new coach will have risks and knocks on them. You won't know until you give them a chance. You aren't going to find someone who will automatically win a championship. After all, they wouldn't be available. It's like entry level hiring. The thing that matters the most is the good judgement of people doing the hiring because what's on the resume is not going to be a perfect match for the job.
12/5/2006 10:52:50 PM
Jimbo Fisher is by far the better choice. He can recruit and will develop a coaching staff unlike Paul Johnson who will bring in his less than stellar staff. Also, talk all you want about Navy winning, it's easy to do when you play cupcake city state college.
12/5/2006 10:54:58 PM
nevermind the fact that he's won and won big everywhere he's been.
12/5/2006 10:55:57 PM
Everyone fucking says that. guess what, the wishbone offense will not work in the ACC. Don't give me that Jim Grobe shit either.
12/5/2006 10:57:23 PM
what about when he was oc at uh and led a pass happy gunning offense?
12/5/2006 10:59:32 PM
yes, because he ran that at hawaii...have you not seen any of the interviews where he said that the only reason he runs that is b/c he hasnt had a chance to recruit the players he wants to run it.win and the recruits will come. PJ will win.
12/5/2006 10:59:33 PM
^^^
12/5/2006 11:00:44 PM
The offense was the same. Everything about it was the same, he just so happened to pass from the wishbone.
12/5/2006 11:03:49 PM
ok, here's one.Steve Kragthorpe.I said it once, I'll say it again. The people who want Jimbo think winning recruiting wars=winning titles. [Edited on December 5, 2006 at 11:04 PM. Reason : .]
12/5/2006 11:03:54 PM
If it's kragthorpe I'll shoot myself in the head.
12/5/2006 11:04:45 PM
jimbo won at lsu, so he'll win here.i mean, that worked out with an FSU assistant with 2 NC's, right?we need an anti-amato. jimbo isnt it.[Edited on December 5, 2006 at 11:06 PM. Reason : .]
12/5/2006 11:06:02 PM
Chuck was never a Coordinator. I wish people would understand that and not compare the two.Being a position coach and being a coordinator are not the same thing.
12/5/2006 11:07:53 PM
I would be happy with Jimbo or Johnson, Jimbo's offense has averaged like at least 350 yards a game over the past few years, and Johnson is a bonafide winner.[Edited on December 5, 2006 at 11:10 PM. Reason : \/ exactly]
12/5/2006 11:08:14 PM
All of the above >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Amato
12/5/2006 11:09:44 PM
reading is an ability some people on tww dont havewe all know thatignore nutsmackr/threadV you are on point[Edited on December 5, 2006 at 11:11 PM. Reason : 1]
12/5/2006 11:10:07 PM
What the fuck makes you think that a proven coordinator is going to be that much better than a proven coach??And how do you know Paul Johnson won't be able to recruit?? And given Amato's tenure and Wake Forest's succes this year...why would you weigh recruiting so heavily over coaching??And please quit the wolfpack club and give up your lifetime rights so I can move up higher.
12/5/2006 11:10:28 PM
WE REALLY NEED A GUY THATLL YELL A LOT AND GIT EXCITED!!!!!11
12/5/2006 11:11:38 PM
I like both options, but I like experience in the SEC better than experience with Navy
12/5/2006 11:12:58 PM
I expected better from someone who usually knows their shit but nutsmackr?Johnson was OC at fucking Hawaii, guess what? They throw the ball every damn play.Just like when I get hated on for saying Cutcliffe was the best option, people are ignorant and don't know who he is.
12/5/2006 11:12:59 PM
oh my jesus. THis is my biggest problem with the Johnson folks. They completely make up false statements in order to back up Johnson.
12/5/2006 11:13:15 PM
maybe you want jerry glanville then?he is an older version of chuck who is sure to bring a spread offense with him
12/5/2006 11:16:20 PM
who gives a fuck what you want? we need a proven winner who won't make Amato's mistakes.
12/5/2006 11:17:33 PM
i dont understand why it matters how you score as long as you score, and also offense is nice but you have to play both sides of the ball if you want to win championships, i mean lets not forget the phillip rivers days
12/5/2006 11:18:11 PM
^*8 We pro-Jimbo supporters are not saying that PJ will not be able to recruit at all if he gets the NC State job, but if you put a top 10 talent between the two of them and asked me which coach do I think would win the recruit, I'd be like, FUCK 'EM, JIMBO COACHED AT LSU, who the hell is NAVY... WHERE's MY LOI Coach Fisher?!Unlike Amato, I think Fisher will be able to recruit and win football games. He is a proven winner at LSU unlike Amato was at FSU, and he's an offensive mind so you know he will come to the field to score points EVERY game... He will want to crush the opponent, not just hang and diddle with the opponent like Amato, and take the "W" as early in the game as possible...Plus he comes from the winners circle in the SEC... He knows how to be competitive in football....[Edited on December 5, 2006 at 11:18 PM. Reason : .]

^^^ When you are the one that is telling Les which plays to run when you're down to Auburn 7-3 and you still win the game....YOU'RE A PROVEN WINNER, SO THERE!
12/5/2006 11:21:14 PM
Wasn't the former Duke coach OC under Spurrier at Florida or something like that?We see how well that worked out...Regardless of who is the coach, I'll still watch next year, which is more than we can say for the fan that started this thread.[Edited on December 5, 2006 at 11:23 PM. Reason : .]
12/5/2006 11:21:27 PM
LSU lost to Auburn this year.
12/5/2006 11:22:10 PM
aha, pwnt
12/5/2006 11:22:34 PM
which coach are you talking about?Plus, Fisher has been offered the coaching position at Miss State, Ole Miss, and Cincinnati, but he turned them down because he didn't feel it was the right fit.
12/5/2006 11:22:41 PM
^*4 Well, how much credit and hype was Ted Roof ever given before coming to Duke even if he was under Spurrier at FLA(Cricket churps)EXACTLY, NEXT![Edited on December 5, 2006 at 11:23 PM. Reason : .]
