ok, this is the 3rd bronco ive built and every goddamn time i get "bronco lean", when the lift kit is put on it leans to the drivers side, by taking out the front suspension and putting it right back in it is susposed to fix it like is has the first two times, but this time its being a bitch, unlike that last 2 times its in the back, not the front, everything looks fine, thinkin about blockin the back left 1", any input?[Edited on December 5, 2006 at 2:00 AM. Reason : left right?]

rovers do it too. i need to swap my front sprigs left to right apparantly.
12/5/2006 3:40:35 AM
fj40s do it too. apparently when they were brought over on the boat they were strapped down so firmly it made the suspension have a permanent lean or something.
12/5/2006 9:09:49 AM
^ fjs usually do it because of the gas tank being under the passenger seat.
12/5/2006 9:48:07 AM
that is incorrect.... on the 1f's (i believe) had the engine under the seat. they all do it. i forget the exact year designations.both my dad's with the 2f did not have the gas tank under the seat. that's one of the reasons he bought the later model. besides the 1f sucking.[Edited on December 5, 2006 at 9:53 AM. its a lifted truck. who cares, go wheel it.
12/5/2006 1:26:30 PM
^ very true
12/5/2006 1:29:54 PM
^^^ the one i speak of was a 74 1f w/ 4speedbut it only had its gangsta lean with a full tank.^^ well if your truck leans on flat land if it leans the wrong way on the wrong hill you may be in trouble.[Edited on December 5, 2006 at 1:42 PM. Reason : .]
12/5/2006 1:41:18 PM
startin to think jeff's bg sent wrong leaf spring
12/5/2006 1:46:41 PM
check to be sure zxappeal isnt sittin on the bumper, that can cause a lean sometimes
12/5/2006 4:03:19 PM
gansta lean 4runners have this kinda lean as well. so does my ram to a certain extent. hey just get used to it it's ok.if ur in cary at the autozone off high house i saw a ghetto ass 84ish? full size bronco with 3 flat super swampers leanin all kinda which ways! hey it's for sale too hahahha
12/5/2006 4:03:50 PM
lol, only like the early model broncos, till 77
12/5/2006 5:59:02 PM
i think this one was so fucked up that's why it was doing it haha wheels was barely held on
12/5/2006 6:04:42 PM
one of my bmws did it with new springs.
12/5/2006 6:12:39 PM
I've got a 66 Bronco. It leans to the right. Might be from acceleration? I bet BBR knows. Who cares, wheel it.
12/5/2006 8:17:49 PM
my uncle used to drive my cj8 around our farm he of course weighed in ~300# when my grandfather gave it to me I put a 1" lift on it and it raised it 8" and leveled the truck out (it always leaned to the driver's side)
12/5/2006 8:39:43 PM
alot of trucks come with different spring rates left to right in the front. many lift manufacturers fail to compensate for this and just include equal rate springs. the ones that do compensate for it, people usually don't realize it and get the springs mixed up. not sure if that's true for broncos.
12/5/2006 8:41:56 PM
what year bronco do you have?
12/5/2006 9:06:28 PM
hey bikeman got your message. first thing is your alignment off or tires unbalanced? next do you have a drop pitman arm? i assume with that much lift you do. but it would help with bumpsteer and wearing out drag links and what not.
12/5/2006 10:43:28 PM
i have a 77, but the bronco is exactly equal in weight in the back, tanks in the middle, i put a fiberglass body on it
12/5/2006 10:45:07 PM
oh you gay, fiberglass how much lift did you go? new packs or add a leaf? i read somewhere that somebody makes a tj lift that compensates for acceleration squat to one side.
12/5/2006 10:49:31 PM
that fuckers light as hell with the glass, lol but 3.5 sus, 3 body, i got new packs,
12/5/2006 10:51:17 PM
it's still a nig rig, haha 3 inch body lift. hell i don't know what's wrong with it. i guess you swapped the coils up front, did you try swapping leafs?
12/5/2006 10:53:11 PM
not yet, thats this weekends job, besides finishin the wiring
12/5/2006 10:55:18 PM
How many people out there that have a 66-77 bronco in the ncsu area. This might need to be its own thread
12/5/2006 10:55:19 PM
lol go for it
12/5/2006 10:55:42 PM
i think its just 3 of us
12/5/2006 11:06:59 PM
technically mynes in wilmington until i get a house this summer, but it will be up here sooner than later
12/5/2006 11:09:33 PM
my 4runner lift/SAS came with different leaves for the front so there's no lean
12/5/2006 11:33:27 PM
just put a bag of concrete on the high side fender and you are all set
12/8/2006 8:43:37 AM
i wanted one but mom and dad said a 450 hp 347 stroker on bias plys with no sway bar probably wasn't the best idea for a 1st car
12/8/2006 10:18:32 AM
mine was a 3 on the tree straight six with power nothing.
12/8/2006 12:25:09 PM
i pulled a 5.0 out of a 91 mustang, had it bored 60over and built it up with edelbrock parts, nothin too over the top
12/8/2006 7:00:06 PM

12/8/2006 10:26:35 PM
