I have done UPS for five years now during Christmas... you basically ride on the truck and deliver most, if not all, of the packages on the truck while the driver stays in the back organizing and rearranging the holiday mess...[Edited on December 5, 2006 at 11:30 AM. Reason : .]

Outback Steakhouse is hiring (I work at the one on Capital Blvd.) but the extensive training isn't worth it if you just want to be around for a month or two.

I know you don't want to do retail, but what about something like the present wrapping stations? try craigslist, a lot of the time people just need extra help over the holidays with stuff.i'll add more as I run across them. good luck!

when i was 19 i worked at honey baked hams over the hollidays. i worked in the back making the hams. the job kind of sucked, but it wasnt retail.
