Car: 2005 Matrix, 5S, StdIf I want to install an aftermarket Cruise Control Kit on the car, is it as simple as, buy the kit and install it per the wiring diagram or is it there more to it than just installing the kit? I found a kit online which claims to be an OEM part.Help appreciated ...[Edited on December 2, 2006 at 1:56 PM. Reason : a]

^lol. One came off on my brother's fiat once... on the highway... needless to say it slowed the car down.If it really is the oem thing, it may be as simple as pluging in a few connectors and mounting the sensors. If not, it could be rather complicated since it's a modern car. Google search may have some answers, or maxima forums.

wow I thought cruise was a standard option these days on cars.Seems to me it would be rather easy to install. I would think on new cars it would be a pretty simple plug and play. However, I'm not sure how the controls would mount up unless they would just mount on the dash. If it has the controls for the steering column, I personally wouldn't try it because I'd be afraid of working around the air bag.

That's pretty sad that cruise isn't standard on a chevy.
