Just so y'all know. yeah, yeah, i know, you wouldn't take your car to their dyno because of blah, blah, blah. been there, heard that. but anyway, it is a dynojet and the two guys who run it actually do know what they are doing. it sure beats driving to durham to deal with that fucking jeff creech. (i know some of y'all love him but i've been dealing with him for years and have personal issues with him.)

then your high hp car will be jacked 3 days later mysteriously and there will be parts that look like yours on cars like yours running around town

I go to CAM. I think Jeff knows what he's doing... but I was dissastisfied after the last time I went there. He told me he knew how to road tune megasquirt and then had his intern type of guy (he was maybe 19, younger than me) go out for road tuning. The guy had some experience with megasquirt but dind't know that much about tuning (like he didn't know how to tune a spark map for driveability etc).I think Jeff knows what he's doing but he can have a stick up his ass sometimes. I'm still unsure if I'd go back to him.[Edited on December 2, 2006 at 12:13 AM. Reason : .]

P1 is expensive, they may be good but you are going to have to pay extra for it
12/2/2006 2:44:10 AM
meh... absolute has an awd dyno and the owner is cool..plus he regularly holds dyno days.
12/2/2006 11:26:45 AM
I prefer the ass dyno.
12/2/2006 2:40:24 PM
This is phantastic.
12/3/2006 6:22:22 PM
so uh, what kind of dyno did you ricers get?
12/3/2006 10:09:45 PM
I personally know both of the guys that run the dyno at Phantasm. They are both extremely intelligent guys and know what they're doing. Jason would be one of the few guys I would trust with my car.
12/3/2006 10:39:48 PM
12/3/2006 10:55:43 PM
Danny, more than likely.
12/3/2006 10:59:07 PM
sweet. saw the banner on the shop last week, been curious...
12/4/2006 10:17:27 AM
They all stand around for a dyno normally. If im not mistaken "j-dogg" does the tuning there if he is still working there. Dont think danny knows much about tuning hes more of the main mechanic

^^Yup.. "JDogg" has been AEM EMS trained and certified.. He's a good tuner if he's not feeling lazy
12/12/2006 6:29:51 PM
P1 is great with AEM EMSv screw phantasm

I'd definately bring a Honda to Jason at Phantasm. He's tuned a couple cars I know of.[Edited on December 12, 2006 at 11:41 PM. Reason : .]

if you dyno for bragging rights, go to a dynojet..if you want to tune, i dont see the big deal whether the numbers are larger or not... a gain will still be a gain.
12/13/2006 8:46:58 AM
thought Jason quit at Phantasm... I was told that Danny and Hung were tuning but that suprised the hell out of me.
12/14/2006 11:41:00 AM
12/14/2006 11:44:18 AM
And the Dynojet is an inertia dyno. No steady-state constant loading like you can with an eddy curent dyno or a Prony brake.
12/14/2006 8:48:36 PM
i thought the stickers added 5 hp wtf u need a dyno for
