Is all software offered by the service fair game to anyone with access, while they are students, as long as its not used for commericial purposes? So I could get a copy of 2k3 Server with Exchange server, just to learn on, and it be legal?

Fair game. Just make sure whatever network you run it on allows that type of program/service to be run. ResNet and TimeWarner both have some restrictions on what you can and can't run.

Any idea where a list of those programs/services reside? I tried to Google it but I could never get the search criteria quite right.

I think TWC used to have some pretty tight restrictions on VPN, but not sure if they still do or not

I'm pretty sure they don't have those restrictions about VPN now, don't know if they used to or not.

I've had a VPN running over a RoadRunner connection for at least 5 years to manage the network at my parents house. Never had a problem.(Roadrunner at both ends)[Edited on December 5, 2006 at 7:11 PM. Reason : ]
