if you buy a movie from itunes can you then burn it onto a dvd-r?

but yeah, it can be done. depends how involved you want to get and how much quality you want to lose.

only way i know of for it to be done is to capture the video using a capture program, etc. there's no way I've been able to find to convert the file directly. please let me know if you know of one.

it would probably be smarter to either buy dvds you might want (or rent) and just buy a dvd to ipod software (i use cucusoft) to put it onto the ipod - then you def. will have both and the dvd quality will actually be worth something.
