I want to spend around $500-$600 for it with NO monitor. I don't play games on it but I would like to be able to edit video so I'm thinking I need a video card that's not integrated or an integrated one that has hardware mpeg processing and dvd decoding built in. I'd also like RAID 1 main HDD's like Dell datasafe. I put one together through Dell and the total was about $550. Only thing it lacked was a seperate video card, but adding one seemed to REALLY jack up the price.

go with a dell special (check out http://www.slickdeals.net/ and/or http://www.bensbargains.net/), make sure it has a pci-e slot, and then pick one up for cheap from those same sites when they go on sale

get the minimum ram and upgrade that yourself as well
