This would be an ideal project for anyone looking to boost a portfolio. I'm working on developing an encyclopedia/review site for music groups that fall into the gothic/industrial/dark electronica genres, and I have all of the backend database and admin stuff done, but I lack the skill in graphic design to execute a professional-looking logo and overall site layout. The site will be similar in content to http://www.bnrmetal.com as an example, but for gothic-industrial groups rather than metal. That could also be an example for a decent layout, but that site looks like it was designed in the late-90's with frames and tables, and I need something more modern with div's and CSS.For an example of the site content, there's a small test page up that grabs the database information at http://www.darktronica.com and spits it out. You can choose the bands Dismantled, Bella Morte, or Wumpscut to get a relatively complete entry. What I need is:1) logo design - I have a concept already, but need more professional execution than I can provide2) wrapper intro page similar to the front page and outer frames at bnrmetal.com3) stylesheet using CSS to layout the main content - everything from basics like colors and font selection to any additional design for custom bars or other graphical contentSince it's a pretty database-driven site, this should be no more than 1-3 pages right now and seems like it would be a fairly easy job. I'm looking at expanding the site's role in the future once more content is up, to shift it into a hybrid between BNRmetal and PitchforkMedia for the goth-industrial scene, with tour dates, current album reviews, links to iTunes/Amazon/etc marketplaces, etc, so I want it to look pretty professional, however. If anyone is interested, shoot me a PM and we can work out some kind of compensation. Please include links to some previous sites you've designed or other work you've done, any questions you might have, and an idea of what you might charge. Thanks!
