I'm going to wait until GT5 and until PS3's are reasonably cheap to get the next GT, but I found some nice shots of GTHD that will come out before GT5. Ferrari will be in, graphics are majorly improved, car detail is majorly improved, more spectators and the tracks and a few more tracks are confirmed. Driver and Passenger now show up in the car, and in car camera is present.

The games creator Kaz-something also noted that the bumpers are detachable, and that although they have not approached any body-kit making companies, they plan to include both orginal and real bodykits from companies such as mugen.

Expected release is spring 07. I won't have a PS3, but I will still want it

the cars still dont look like theyre actually on the roads (the shadow casting should be way better than that)

PC racing sims are better. I'm probably not hardcore enough to know/tell, but the PC racing sim nerds call GT4 'arcady'. hah. I do know they look better and are cheaper, though.

Also rFactor is a PC sim thats totally based around a mod/devel community online. so there is everything from shifter carts to GTs to rally to vintage to nascar. its huge and ever expanding.

i love blowin the shit outta things. the forza game was ok for about 2 seconds but it tires out just like the gt series.. well im adhd so who knows

Holy crap...who can confirm that this is being released in Spring 2007? I was planning on holding off a while for a PS3, figuring that GT5 was a long way off. But if its not, then I might have to step up my schedule!

Also, where is there any mention of having to "pay" to open other tracks, etc.

Did a search. Screw GT HD, I'll wait for GT5, which isn't coming out till 2008.

GT series actually is borderline Sim quality.

The engine blowing up and tires falling off stuff, while cool in theory, would make the game terrible to play unless implemented in an arcade manner.
