...i sing along to the alma mater to try and drown out my dad...
and once after rehersing the national anthem in choir i sat down humming something and was like what is this? it was the alma mater- always follows the national anthem for me
...maybe some of us dont like this song becaue frankly it brings back memories of the cheerleaders swaying in a line after bball losses during the less robinson era.

whatever the song they played at ECU halftime when they were sending off the seniors in the band, which i have heard before, and is either our alma mater or our fight song....i've definitely heard them play it at the games prior, and no one knows the words, except right when there is a part with the drums and a cymbal crash, and up to that point everyoen had either been not singing or murmuring, and tehn all the sudden everyone goes "N...C...STAAAATE"

and the song continues and finishes
