I've mostly been playing tennis and bowling, and while getting pro in bowling was pretty easy, I'm having a lot of trouble getting points in tennis.Does anyone have any tips on how to earn points faster? Apart from that, what do you guy think of this as a bundled game?
11/27/2006 2:59:33 PM
i only played each of the sports for about half an hour or so, but it's pretty awesome
11/27/2006 3:00:44 PM
thorsten were calling from providence rhode island, did you pack your shit
11/27/2006 3:05:04 PM
for real, is this system worth buying or not
11/27/2006 3:30:11 PM
dudebuy this shitit has an emo game where you can move the control to cry
11/27/2006 3:39:37 PM
without getting into a huge graphics vs. gameplay debate..yes it's worth itit's surprising how natural the controls will feel, and while none of the games have true 1:1 movement, it's still a lot more immersive and fun than using a regular controller

11/27/2006 3:41:09 PM
i lied.you can bowl though.
11/27/2006 3:46:03 PM
would you two mind taking your courtship out of my thread?thank you

i really like the wii sports...Red Steel on the other hang is a HUGE POS!! The bowling is the best....tennis is a little weird and the controls struggle a bit. Baseball and boxing have to be the worst controls. Golf is really good, but you will have to have lots of patience.
11/27/2006 5:22:07 PM
golf is really realistic...baseball is fun, hold it like a bat and swing like a bat and you'll do fine.bowling and tennis are my favorites.boxing is fun but hard to get used to.
11/27/2006 5:36:34 PM
Try not to play too close to wooden furniture. I slammed my knuckles into a dresser while playing tennis.I love tennis. I really dislike boxing; it seems really unresponsive. Golf is ok, but I have to do an uppercut to get the club to hit the ball sometimes.
11/27/2006 5:39:30 PM
i got pro in tennis just by playin best of 5 matches and winnin... once i got the hang of spins and aiming, i started doin a lot better.

I <3 boxing. The controls take a while to get used to, but once you figure out how to do combos and implement them with dodging, it super fun. The training mode is really fun too, the instructor throws tennis balls at you and you have to dodge them And to whoever asked if the system is worth buying, it most definitely IS.
11/28/2006 9:23:50 AM
sweeeeet just made pro level in boxing!
12/1/2006 1:57:25 AM
i watched someone play the boxing game and the computer barely threw any punches
12/1/2006 1:59:50 AM
that's because the computer gets harder the more you play just because the game is "deep" doesn't mean it's complete crap
12/1/2006 6:47:38 AM
awesome systembut make sure you don't let go of the controller
12/1/2006 8:44:50 AM
12/1/2006 9:21:14 AM
wasn't hating on it...just found it funny watching my friend flail around like an idiot against an opponent throwing no punches (i know i said barely any, but none would be more fitting)
12/1/2006 11:29:13 AM
^^i find the trick to spins is to not treat it like real tennis. twist your wrist as you swing. if you twist your wrist forward, you should get some topspin, and backward will get you the backspin. unfortunately, the backspin likes to carry the ball deep and half the time it goes out of bounds, so you gotta be careful with it. dont overdo the wrist twist too much. you'll get the hang of it eventually.
12/1/2006 1:01:56 PM
bowled a 228 last nite
12/1/2006 2:31:52 PM
i think 280 is my high scorei got a spare in the second frame and all strikes apart from that..2 clicks to the right, and straight down the middle seems to do pretty well for me
12/1/2006 2:41:27 PM
the best way to score a bunch in tennis is to whip your opponent by as much as possible and keep winning. sounds obvious but your opponent will keep getting better as long as you beat them. So you can score fast if they are twice as good as you (skillpoints) or barely score at all if you're twice as good as them even if you win. it apparantly just takes into account the difference in your skill levels and the score of the game as far as I can tell
12/1/2006 3:08:34 PM
everytime i bowl, the ball always veers to the left. ive tried twisting it every which a way when i throw the ball, but it always veers to the left. does anybody know what causes the ball to veer in a direction on the lane after youve thrown in?
12/1/2006 10:14:55 PM
home run derby: 10 home runs 5585 feetbowling: 254
12/1/2006 10:44:24 PM
^^try not twisting the remote at all. if that doen't work, just move your guy to the right a little and pretend you're doing it on purpose
12/2/2006 1:14:00 PM
i am a bad ass pitcher in baseball
12/3/2006 1:06:51 AM

12/3/2006 11:29:39 AM
I could waste so much time with these games. So far I've played the baseball, bowling, and tennis. Those skills challenges are pretty awesome too.
12/3/2006 1:14:23 PM
hahaha. wiimote.
12/3/2006 2:03:25 PM
Shoot. Tennis and Bowling are about as fun as it gets. I really need to get some more controllers on Wednesday.
12/4/2006 10:48:35 PM

if it weren't for mario, zelda, metroid and pokemon nintendo would have gone out of business long ago
12/16/2006 3:29:11 PM
Yeah, how dare Nintendo rely on good games as their marketing strategy. And I wish that they would really rely on new series, right? Its not like they have created anything new like Pikmin, Warioware, etc in the past few years. Some tards just have no clue. You do realize that Nintendo was founded in the 1800's right? That's a rather long time to rely on Mario, especially since he didn't become a household name until the 80's (may have my dates slightly off).
12/16/2006 5:34:55 PM
what do you get for getting "Pro" level in each sport?
12/17/2006 12:41:10 AM
A contract.
12/17/2006 1:56:58 AM
I know you get a sparkly ball for getting pro in bowling
12/17/2006 2:00:08 AM
gf just bowled a 246 omg
12/17/2006 12:36:03 PM

12/17/2006 1:01:27 PM
funny that you mention it. I was playing bowling last night with 93formula and his wife... his wife bowled a freakin' 257.... i had a 150
12/17/2006 1:25:16 PM

12/21/2006 10:55:56 PM
One of my favorite training games initially was the home run challenge, until I finally managed to hit all 10 of them. Then tonight just for fun I play again, and absolutely destroy all 10 balls, hitting at least half of them out of the park, get a total of 5,700+ feet, and pick up my first platinum medal. Talk about fun
