USC lost to an UNRANKED TEAM!USC moved up when they beat Notre Dame.....yea, Michigan killed Notre Dame back when Notre Dame was ranked 2nd in the nation! I hope USC gets killed by UCLA.....or just beatanyway you look at it, UofM should be #2
11/27/2006 2:34:52 PM
ok, sure, they can have the #2 spot, but they shouldnt play in the NC game, cause we all know that would be stupid
11/27/2006 2:35:42 PM
haha, of course im gonna approve of this thread HAIL TO THE VICTORS!
11/27/2006 2:36:17 PM
I approve of anything that makes the BCS look silly. Therefore, I approve of Michigan getting another shot at OSU and winning on a miracle play with nothing left on the clock.
11/27/2006 2:38:24 PM
I agree.. but the BCS is terrible
11/27/2006 2:39:40 PM
Ah hell, USC's last game is Saturday. Let meechigan and the cock gloves fight it out the following weekend to see who goes to the NC.
11/27/2006 2:39:49 PM
i've always opposed a playoff system, but this season has made a believer out of me. only 6 or 8 teams, though.better yet, do away w/ the NC and go back to having bowl games that actually have tradition and mean something. and do away w/ every team in the country w/ a .500 record getting a bowl game, it's getting out of hand.
11/27/2006 2:47:29 PM
If U of M wanted to play in the championship, then they should have beaten tOSU.Everyone knew before the game that the loser would not be in the NC if USC beat ND.They had their chance. Tough shit.
11/27/2006 2:51:31 PM
BOISE STATE!!!!!STILL UNDEFEATED
11/27/2006 2:51:39 PM
I say let U of M play for it. Repeat games are more fun anyway.
11/27/2006 2:52:20 PM
Happy Cat demands tOSU vs Rutgers!!!!1111
11/27/2006 2:53:17 PM
^^^^Youre wrong. They were in a hostile environment. They lost by fucking 3, less than what most people consider to be "homefield advantage." They never got a fair shot at a neutral site. There is no way they shouldnt be in the championship game.[Edited on November 27, 2006 at 2:54 PM. Reason : ^^^^]

11/27/2006 2:56:51 PM
what a bunch of liberal pussies..."waaa no one can "lose", everyone has to win, just keep playing till everyone wins at least once waaa"ok, if there was a rematch, and Ohio State lost, then they would be split, so would you have to play ANOTHER game to break the tie?and dont give me that "lost by 3, wasnt a neutral field" shit. First off, it wasnt nearly that close, they got a gimme TD late after the game was already over, and something tells me if Michigan had lost by "3" at michigan, you all would still be bitching about a rematch.Michigan had their chance, and failed. Give someone else a chance.
11/27/2006 3:01:30 PM
it wasnt on a neutral field, the horseshoe is not carter finley, its a big deal, michigan deserves another shot
11/27/2006 3:03:51 PM
no, that is just grasping at any little thing you can to want a rematch... once again
11/27/2006 3:05:12 PM
so basically, michigan deserves a rematchbut GO BRUINS just to make sure
11/27/2006 3:06:49 PM
Dude, if you watched the game, you'd know that Michigan got outplayed up and down the field. It was just a couple of bad tunrovers that even kept them in the game. Besides, I look forward to USC winning their 3rd NC in 4 years. And I certainly hope you're not hanging your argument on who beat ND when, because everyone and their mothers know that ND is severely overrated.[Edited on November 27, 2006 at 3:09 PM. USC HAS BEATEN 3 POSSIBLE BCS TEAMS1) ARKANSAS 50-142) NEBRASKA 28-103) NOTRE DAME 44-24(ALL NON-CONFERENCE GAMES)LETS LOOK AT MICHIGAN'S BIG WINS AND THEIR NONCONFERENCE1) NOTRE DAME 47-212) VANDERBILT 27-73) CENTRAL MICHIGAN 41-174) BALL STATE 34-26*THEY DID BEAT WISCONSIN 27-13 WHO PLAYED NOBODY THEMSELVES!!!LOOK WOLVERINE BONEHEADS QUIT CRYING YOU HAD YOUR SHOT AND YOU LOSTP.S. THE OHIO STATE GAME WAS NOT A 3 POINT GAME IT WAS CONSISTENTLY A 8-10 POINT GAME, IT WASNT CLOSE
11/27/2006 3:10:40 PM
11/27/2006 3:11:28 PM
I'm not a Michigan fan, I'm just saying that USC lost to an unranked opponent and Michigan lost to the number 1 BCS team at their home. Who deserves a shot?
11/27/2006 3:11:34 PM
USC WOULD BEAT MICHIGAN IF THEY PLAYED THIS WEEKEND35-21
11/27/2006 3:15:53 PM
MICHIGAN FANS ARE A BUNCH OF PUSSYASS CRYBABIES!!
11/27/2006 3:17:01 PM
man i just stumbled into a nest of USC dickriders
11/27/2006 3:20:01 PM
The Michigan argument is based on one game from each schedule, the loss. Compare the wins of the two teams and you'll see that Michigan has no business in a national championship
11/27/2006 3:20:38 PM
11/27/2006 3:21:29 PM
not only did michigan come within 3 pts (and you can yap about how they didn't "deserve" TDs, same for OSU too), they did it with 110,000 fans screaming at the QB who had 1/4 second to make a decision against the #1 rated team in the nation (which at the time the rank value was only a few THOUSANDTHS of a point away)......its not so much that anyone wants a rematch, just have it be what it should be......it makes the entire ranking system look completely stupid
11/27/2006 3:24:23 PM
/conspiracy theory warningso one thing about the mich/osu game is that michigan players straight up slipped and fell down on at least 3 different occasions that i noticed where the field simply gave way. now maybe i only noticed it b/c the announcers mentioned something about the field being redone, but it seemed strange that the mich players slipped that much and osu never did.
11/27/2006 3:28:25 PM
PLAYOFFS ARE THE ONLY ANSWERBOYCOTT THE BCS GAMESWE NEED A PLAYOFF SYSTEM IT WILL SUCK TO GET JOBBED BY A RANKING SYSTEM
11/27/2006 3:29:29 PM
11/27/2006 3:37:56 PM
11/27/2006 3:45:24 PM
Michigan should be in the NC because they are still the second best school in the nation, losing only to #1.I also agree with Herbstreit that they should use a plus 1 system where it's #1 vs #4 and #2 vs #3 with the winners facing off for the championship.
11/27/2006 3:45:47 PM
maybe we should just have Michigan and USC play each other for #2 and give tOSU the titleOH YEAHI WANNA CROWN 'EM
11/27/2006 3:50:25 PM
11/27/2006 4:04:11 PM
Michigan had a chance against Ohio State and couldnt cut it. Someone else gets a chance, this is America, not Russia.
11/27/2006 4:06:28 PM
neutral field
11/27/2006 4:06:48 PM
I bet Florida wished they could have played Auburn on a neutral field.
11/27/2006 4:09:14 PM
ok, dumbnuts, so lets go back into the season and anytime someone lost an away game it doesnt count...Ok, in that case Florida is undefeated and played a much harder schedule, they should be in then.^ EXACTLYand you know his little head is thinking right now.. "but but but that wasnt against the #1 team! and and that was a 10 point loss, not 3!"fucking revisionist bullshit[Edited on November 27, 2006 at 4:12 PM. Reason : d]
11/27/2006 4:10:12 PM
For all you OSU babies who can't stand to think UofM would beat you in the NC, USC will do it to you anyway. I was really impressed by their "handling" of ND, not to say it wasn't expected. Pete Carroll at it again, and I'm a Michigan fan.
11/27/2006 4:12:34 PM
a team that didn't even win their conference should never be in the national championship game, period.
11/27/2006 4:19:38 PM
i agree
11/27/2006 4:20:12 PM
Under the current format I also agree but with one qualifier. Unless there are no other teams with the same amount of losses, which is possible but not likely at all.
11/27/2006 4:21:17 PM
disagree, the two best teams in the country should play for the title, and they are in the same conference
11/27/2006 4:22:14 PM
11/27/2006 4:23:03 PM
11/27/2006 4:23:52 PM
^^^ put the problem is you act like Michigan is by far and away the best team... I would agree with you that if Ohio State was 12-0, Michigan was 11-1, and Florida, USC etc were 6-6, then yes, they should have a rematch. But when we are talking about multiple 1 loss teams and one of those has JUST played the undefeated team, then someone else should get a chance^^ and I was being sarcastic in that quote[Edited on November 27, 2006 at 4:26 PM. Reason : d]
11/27/2006 4:24:20 PM
^^last time i counted...there wasnt a one score in football that gave you 8 pts
11/27/2006 4:26:01 PM
its not about CHANCES haha, you just dont get it.... its about deciding who is the second best team in college football still, meaning RIGHT NOW, and michigan has proven that more than USC
11/27/2006 4:26:06 PM
^^ don't be an idiot.^ I disagree. I feel USC has beaten more quality teams. I feel their overall resume is better than Michigans. But it's stupid to continue arguing that point since neither one of us is gonna change our minds..[Edited on November 27, 2006 at 4:27 PM. Reason : x]
