Because ESPN doesn't care about the tipoff between us and Michigan. They want to wait to have info for Duke, UNC, Indiana, and Illinois because they are the only schools people care about

Can someone post the Andy Katz blog about the game last night from insider? thanks

^^ that is completely false. I don't feel like going over it again but it was NOT the Big East that pulled out. It was Duke pretty much.

^ did duke complain about the physical play or something? i think one of the years the acc and big east played was when the big east was experimenting with allowing 6 fouls per player in conference games. 'cause that's the way it is the nba. of course, the nba game is 20% longer, thus justifying the 20% more fouls before disqualification. but at the time i remember the big east being a really physical league, and i could see duke pissing and moaning.

Actually the ACC schools say the coaches of the Big East didn't want such hard games early in the year and the Big East schools say the ACC mainstays (Duke and UNC) didn't want such physical play early in the year. The truth lies somewhere in between likely. I know Duke was more outspoken about it.* I would post articles but the only two I could find were both biased. One from 850thebuzz citing the big east as the reason it was abolished, the other from the hartford courant citing duke as the reason. no point in posting those.[Edited on November 28, 2006 at 2:18 PM.
