It would be off-balance with the woman on one side but the bottom is off-center too, so it is not top heavy.



I'm not sure what the material is but it sounds and feels metallic.

It has some use but I have washed it clean of ashes. There are stains in the bowl that seem to be permanent but could possibly be removed if you put your mind to it. It appears to be handmade because of the rough etchings but there is no mark or signature on the bottom.
