We will see how good of a coach Grobe is next year when he loses those 13 seniors.
11/26/2006 12:36:39 AM
i bet he will do better than 3-9
11/26/2006 12:39:37 AM
i'm thinking something in the 5-7 to 7-5 range. unc, miami (if they play them), and probably state will all be breaking in new coaches, and grobe is a hell of a coach. gt will be rebuilding also, so i'm thinking they'll be middle of the pack again. unfortunately that means that VT will probably win the conference again

11/26/2006 12:57:06 AM
heh play army then at navy?
11/26/2006 12:57:44 AM
Vandy will beat them next year
11/26/2006 12:58:21 AM
have you seen the list of wake redshirts?
11/26/2006 1:16:08 AM
11/26/2006 1:25:44 AM
5 straight away games? that blows
11/26/2006 1:27:05 AM
^^ true, they really need to drop that if they ever really want a shot at a national title
11/26/2006 1:28:47 AM
army and navy are independent like nd, so dont they have to play at least one independent team as part of that stupid contract they have[Edited on November 26, 2006 at 1:34 AM. Reason : .]
11/26/2006 1:30:43 AM
Two words: Josh AdamsBest kid to ever play Cary High Football.
11/26/2006 1:32:08 AM
cary high fucking blows. hes garbage
11/26/2006 1:32:32 AM
josh adams was overrated
11/26/2006 1:41:52 AM
Scott Koiistra was nice, I was there when he was there. But he was an o-lineman.And Adams was nice when he played, he'll be "like" barclay, too small for big schools, but he will do well at wake
11/26/2006 2:03:33 AM
hes a huge drug dealer, but since hes from cary high he sells schwagedy schwagg
11/26/2006 2:04:19 AM
to small for big schools? if he was playing right now, he could be playing in a BCS game in a few weeks.and indeed he sells drugs, even in middle school at good ole West Cary
11/26/2006 2:07:39 AM
11/26/2006 2:19:08 AM
he got all kinds of scholarship offers from all the big schools......at DBhe wanted to play running back, so he took the offer from Wakehe deals drugs? good to know
11/26/2006 2:24:47 AM
11/26/2006 2:32:18 AM
they are a direct image of their coachif you listen to him on the radio every week like I do, you won't be surprised by them
11/26/2006 2:36:03 AM
11/26/2006 11:56:14 AM
my HS sucked ass, and we kicked the shit out of Cary no matter how many recruits they had
11/26/2006 12:22:50 PM
11/26/2006 1:08:57 PM
I am pretty sure the stat on ESPN said that he had NO redshirts this year....and still 13 guys leaving. Don't get me wrong I like what he has done with his program besides beat us like Bunting. I hope they get a really good bowl like the Gator or Peach
11/26/2006 1:10:58 PM
they pretty much redshirt everyoneyou probably misread whatever it is you're referring to
11/26/2006 1:21:54 PM
12/7/2006 11:18:26 AM
Almost every single player on the WF roster has redshirted. This was a very popular topic amongst sportswriters and announcers this year. You are mis-remembering the ESPN quote.
12/7/2006 11:43:45 AM
HIRE GROBE!!!!!!!!!!
12/7/2006 11:45:20 AM
Why do you think that Wake will lose AT HOME to FSU when they went down there this year and won by over 20????Wake will have Mauk and Andrews back. Trust me, they might be here to stay now as long as Grobe is in charge.
12/7/2006 12:20:32 PM
do you really want Mauk back after what the new kid (Skinner?) did?
12/7/2006 12:23:04 PM
I don't know, Wake really doesn't throw the ball. It's not like Riley threw for 3000 yards. The old saying is you can't lose your starting job due to injury, so we will see.Trent Green got his job back even though the Chiefs were winning with Damon Huard.
12/7/2006 12:41:37 PM
thats not really the order of their schedule is it? I mean there are no assigned dates yet... I assume their athletic dept. wouldnt do 4 home conference games, 4 away conference games, then OOC games...last i saw, our schedule was listed about the same way
12/7/2006 12:46:54 PM
Announced on ESPN that Ben Mauk is leaving due to "academic reasons"....I think it is because Riley Skinner beats his ass any day of the week.No QB controversy at Wake now I guess.
2/2/2007 12:29:05 PM
maybe its because wake didnt offer his grad school dept and under the new rule he can transfer to any school he wants and not have to sit out a yearso basically he could go Texas/USC/UFanywheregood move on his part
2/2/2007 1:09:14 PM
From what I have heard, it was basically clear that the starting job was Skinner's. Mauk is graduating so has little reason to stick around and ride the pine...ready to move on with his life.
2/2/2007 1:57:04 PM
guys they had 19 juniors on this team, and all but 5 had been red-shirted at some point, that's like 15 superseniors[Edited on February 2, 2007 at 6:46 PM. Reason : a]
2/2/2007 6:46:07 PM
2/2/2007 7:13:34 PM
The main voids they will have is several holes in the secondary to fill and obviously Abbate.
2/3/2007 12:39:16 AM
thier talent is going up besides abotte and maybe smith. they had better guys on the bench but play guys by seniority and redshirt some really good guys. also they will get their starting running back back and actually have a reliable back that won't fumble everytime.
