Shameless plug for a friend of mine's comparison shopping website...



Jellyfish is out of Madison and has gotten tons of national press. Essentially it is a comparison shopping site that will link you to prices for a product from a number of different vendors. What makes them different is that they kick back a portion of their advertising revenue (from linking to vendors) to you, the consumer. This kick-back is shown very explicitly to you as a reduction of the list price.

Today, black friday or "smack friday", they have deals every 2 hours. I just watched an 80gb ipod sell for 230$. Essentially, they will release an item (next one at noon) and not tell you how many they are selling. The price will go down every second until they are sold out and the deals are usually on electronics. They do this every day but have a ton of them today for the holiday.
