http://www.jacksonville.com/tu-online/stories/112206/col_6386639.shtmlGee, I wonder why tickets sales are slow? Maybe because two of the worst traveling fanbases in the country are going to play. They are PRAYING that Maryland makes it. If Wake Forest or BC plays GTech it's going to look a UNC home game in Jax.** Charlotte would be cool, but I doubt they move there.[Edited on November 22, 2006 at 11:27 AM. Reason : x]

I thought it was supposed to only be there for a year or two anyways and move around like the bball tourney does.

if Wake makes it, their fans will be in Jac. in full force.
11/22/2006 11:54:39 AM
Yes, I'm sure all 100 of them will definetly be there.
11/22/2006 11:56:33 AM
from what I hear, alot of peeps in wake are on the bandwagon.
11/22/2006 11:58:04 AM
^a lot of peeps in wake?you mean a lot of people that go there?or do you mean a lot of people in Winston Salem?
11/22/2006 12:03:14 PM
or a lot of people in wake county?
11/22/2006 12:06:55 PM
wake is fairly popular around the triad but theres still so many other big 3 fans too so it may not seem like much

I went to the Wake-UConn game a few years back. With a wake win they would have been bowl eligible. There were like 16 fans in the stadium and 10 were UConn fans. By the end of the 3rd quarter there were literally a handful of Wake fans let (I think the final was like 55-14).

fuck Wake

When we went down to the Clemson game, we stayed in Spartanburg and went downtown Spartanburg that night (near Wofford's campus). There were a couple guys wearing Wake hats so I decided to talk to them some about the Deacs season. I asked them about Josh Adams and if they thought he should of played this year and both of them were like "Who!?". I thought that maybe that was ok since Josh is redshirting and they might not keep an eye on recruiting, but I then asked them who they played that weekend and they said "We have no idea, We're USC fans but Wake's doing a damn good job this year." And I think that was the weekend that they played FSU.I'd say there are plenty of Wake football bandwagon fans. Hell, if I had tickets to JAX to watch Wake I'd go.[Edited on November 22, 2006 at 12:48 PM. Reason : 1]

SEC Championship never has these problems
11/22/2006 12:56:44 PM
Well I imagine the Gator Bowl was pissed about the bowl priority shuffling-- Charlotte makes more sense--- closer to all schools except Miami/FSU.
11/22/2006 1:00:43 PM
just messing with you fuckers... and yeah, I always thought Charlotte made more sense
11/22/2006 1:09:16 PM
I would like to see Vandy and Kentucky in an SEC championship game haha
11/22/2006 1:29:35 PM
charlotte should definitely be where the acc title game is held, especially since ncsu, duke, unc and wake won't make it most years. but clemson would probably get the biggest crowd there anyways.
11/22/2006 1:33:22 PM
^you can add clemson to the "ncsu, duke, unc and wake" group since they will choke every year.

^^^^ Vandy vs. Kentucky in the SEC Championship game would be a real surprise, especially since they're in the same division...As it is, either one making the championship game would be a miracle, but I suppose Vandy vs. Mississippi State would be the biggest longshot.
