damn, dude. it only takes a philips head screwdriver and 5 minutes to switch out a power supply.1. turn off your computer and unplug it from the outlet.2. touch your had to some metal to release static.3. open your case.4. unplug whatever your power supply is connected to.5. unscrew the power supply from the case.6. screw in the new power supply.7. replug the connectors.8. close your case.9. plug in your computer and turn it on.10. save yourself $20.[Edited on November 20, 2006 at 9:01 PM. Cool. I'm just sure I'll fucking ruin it somehow, but I guess I'll give it a whirl. Does it really matter what type of power supply I get? It's a p4 2.8 asus.

yes. having the right connectors and voltage is important. the tech talk kids would be more helpful for you on that stuff though.
