I think my lcd monitor is going bad - i need to get a new one. I know next to nothing about this type of thing sooo here we go. I play LOD and Raven Shield and other than that i use the computer for basic web stuff, email and music. What is a good monitor to get that will support a Radeon X800 video card and the games i play? I'd like to keep the price under 160 if at all possible and i dont need crazy resolution or anything like that

Well, your best bet would probably be to go to http://www.newegg.com and put $160 in as the price limit under LCD monitors and see what you can get for that price.

go here:http://www.bensbargains.net/and put LCD in the search box on the right hand side to see the latest deals. cant go wrong with newegg but you'll probably get a better deal watching slickdeals/bensbargains

17" monitors seem to work well for methe larger screens just seem to big for gaming (at least to me). I have a dual 17" lcd setup currently.

It is just analog but you don't seem to need digital for your uses. Model is X7G-NAGA V if you want to check the specs at sceptre.com[Edited on December 27, 2006 at 8:17 AM. Reason : analog]
