FootballHard not to go with Jay Smith, but I could see Dominique Ellis or one of the other secondary recruits get some good time on Special Teams or elsewhere.BasketballJ.J. Hickson hands down.

so our highest ranked recruits will have the most impact?what a bold prediction.

well he is supposed to be pretty good, but i don't know if he'll be able to get some starting time as early as say a DB that gets in on special teams early. i mean Ellis as well as Byers may be able to get on kick return or punt return and get some quality minutes. Byers is only a 2 ** recruit, but could gain a spot on STs if he works hard in summer practice. Linwan Euwell also is supposed to be a good prospect, and I heard was killing it at a camp in Chapel Hill. That's one reason why the UNC staff tried to get in on him even after he was already verballed to us.[Edited on November 17, 2006 at 3:41 AM. Reason : ]

I thought we would be ranked higher than 19th, but oh well. Hopefully Johnny Thomas will move up to a 4*.

are we counting redshirt freshman? it could be burke if thats the case. i dont think it will be smith for simple fact that we are already loaded at receiver.

^^good point about being loaded at receiever - will be hard for smith to make the BIGGEST impact too bad chuck couldn't have landed a recruit of smith's stature at another position, say OL
