I know this is a simple question, but....I'm using windows xp and firefox-- where does the firefox browser store local copies of images, html files, etc. on my machine?

how 'bout worrying about your playbook instead of cache.

I'm taking a stab in the dark here, but I'm going to wager the following:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Application Data\Mozilla\<some funky letters>\...-OR-\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\<some funky letters>\...Of course, you could also look in the PREFERENCES of your freaking browser, since it normally will ask you where you want to store stuff.

Firefox can create multiple profiles per person/user. ^That post pretty much sums it up, although if you have 1.5 or later, you can delete most of that stuff from within Firefox.

about:cache?device=diskPut that in your address bar. It will give you all your cache information in Firefox. Firefox renames files in your cache, so even when you find the cache you can't tell what the files are supposed to be unless you look it up there and then rename the file back to the original name with the correct extension.
