I dropped my cell phone in a parking lot and found it missing when I came back to my car. The guy who had found it saw me looking for it from inside the restaurant and gave it back to me, and when I turned it on it had a nice display of rainbow design. I'm assuming it was run over in the time it was in the parking lot.

Question: Do Verizon Wireless phones have to have come with a warranty in order to get them replaced of something like this happens, or do they do it as a general rule?

I'm gonna beat y'all to it so you can jump straight to answering my question: I'm clumsy, I'm insane, I'm ugly, I'm a moron, I'm fucked. If I missed anything, I'll be counting on you to fill in the blank. >.<

if you don't have a warranty they'll still replace it, but for a fee

the answer you will get is probably "use google"

but seriously I think you have to have phone insurance which i never opt to get...you might be screwed and have to pay to just buy a brand new phone for full price

When you said that it had a rainbow design, I thought you meant that the guy in the restaurant was gay and he changed the wallpaper to a rainbow.

I paid for the insurance with my Verizon wireless phone and only paid like $50 for a new one. I guess it was worth it.

If the phone does not appear to be damaged and the screen just went bad and its within the first year of owning the phone, then we would likely replace it under warranty.

However, if not, then you gotta have the insurance. You pay $4.99/month and a $50 deductible and get a new phone or one just like it. If you don't have that, the have fun paying full retail price for another one.

Answer: As a general rule, its not VZW's fault that your a clumsy idiot and they don't pay to replace phones that somebody is too stupid to keep track of.
