My contract is up with Alltel and I desperately need a new phone, but I don't want to re-sign for another year or two. A guy I know can get me a pretty good price on unlocked phones from a few different providers like sprint, nextel, and cingular. Can I buy one of these and have it set up on the alltel network? I know there are probably CDMA vs. GSM issues, frequency differences, etc... Does anyone know if any of the unlocked phones from these providers would work, and if alltel would allow me to use it?
