Call autozone and whatever other autoparts stores are around. If they don't have it I'm sure they could probably order it and still sell it to you cheaper than a dealer.

Thanks. I figured I would call European performance to see if they would sell it.

11/9/2006 2:39:05 PM
why would an M3 need 10W60?
11/9/2006 3:01:37 PM
^Thats whats in there from factory and in the owners manual. I checked with my friends who own e46 m3 and some forums and thats what they use.

^ I chuckled.I always wondered why they used 10w60 in the m3s... and if they did the same with the m5s.

11/9/2006 8:30:45 PM
why does bmw always require some weird oil weight? mine uses 0w40, but I would think 10w30 would be fine.
11/9/2006 9:47:04 PM
^Yeah and its only available at the dealer or if you order it off line...oh well..
11/10/2006 11:41:48 AM
Mobil 1 makes 0W-40. I used to run it in my S2000.
11/10/2006 11:48:53 AM
i've been using 15w50 for a few years now, and the car seems to like it better than the 0w40.
11/10/2006 11:50:01 AM
yea, i've just switched to Mobil 1 EP 15w50 too. We'll see how it goes.
